The film is 94 minutes 53 seconds long and includes scenes selected from 4,500 hours of footage in 80,000 submissions from 192 nations. The completed film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2011 and the premiere was streamed live on YouTube. On October 31, 2011, YouTube announced that Life in a Day would be available for viewing on its website free of charge, and on DVD.
Synopsis
Ce projet inédit a été tourné en un jour, le 24 juillet 2010, par des internautes du monde entier et consistait à filmer un moment de leur vie afin de décrire la vie des hommes en 2010. Les utilisateurs ont dû dire ce qu'ils avaient dans leurs poches/dans leur sac, ce qu'ils aiment et ce qui leur fait peur. Les vidéos les plus intéressantes et les plus originales ont par la suite été incluses au documentaire qui rassemble plus de 1000 clips vidéos. Certains pays n'ont pas participé, notamment ceux concernés par des embargos et des sanctions américaines : l'Iran, la Syrie, Cuba, la Corée du Nord et le Myanmar. Aucun réalisateur amateur n'a été rémunéré mais leurs noms apparaissent en tant que coréalisateurs.Comments

Both climbers successfully reach the summit of the previously unclimbed West Face of Siula Grande in Peru. Joe is injured during the descent after falling, resulting in a badly broken leg. The pair decide to lower Joe with the help of ropes on the steep snowy slope, while an enormous storm rages on. Simon cannot see where he is lowering Joe and Joe eventually drops off a cliff and is suspended by the rope in mid-air. Simon arrests his fall, but neither sees the predicament his partner is in nor hears him, due to the severity of the storm.

Sandra, a manager of a fast-food restaurant in the ChickWich chain, receives a phone call from someone identifying himself as Officer Daniels: he claims to be in contact with the regional manager about a customer whose purse was allegedly robbed by an employee that day. Daniels claims that he is searching the suspect's residence, but will remain on the phone while Sandra detains and searches the employee until the police can arrive. Sandra identifies Becky as the possible culprit based on the caller’s description, and the caller confirms this is the name he was given.
