The film drew an audience of over 100,000 in Hungary, which is considered a domestic success, and was awarded the Grand Prize at the Fantasporto Film Festival in Portugal, where it premiered internationally.
Synopsis
Liza is a 30-year-old, naïve, lonely nurse living in "Csudapest", the capital of a fictionalized 1970s Hungary with a capitalist system. She has taken care of Marta, the widow of the former Japanese ambassador, for the last 12 years. On her 30th birthday Liza goes to a Mekk Burger restaurant to find romance, upon reading about it in a Japanese romance novel. While she’s away, Marta is killed by Liza’s only friend, Tomy Tani, the ghost of a Japanese pop singer from the 1950s, resulting in Liza inheriting her apartment. Relatives report Liza to the police for murdering Marta. Sergeant Zoltan is put on the case, who gets very nearly killed in the process, and falls slowly in love with Liza after moving into her apartment as a flatmate. She gains confidence, but all her dating efforts end in fatal accidents. Liza is convinced that she has become a fox-fairy, a demon from Japanese mythology. According to the legend, men who fall in love with a fox-fairy die soon afterwards.Actors

Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze), a banker and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore), a potter, are a couple who renovate and move into an apartment in New York City with the help of Sam's friend Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn). One afternoon, Sam makes the discovery of unusually high balances in obscure bank accounts, but despite Carl's offer to help investigate, Sam decides to investigate on his own. That night, while walking home, Sam and Molly are mugged by a street thug who pulls a gun and demand's Sam's wallet. Sam struggles with the attacker and is shot. After pursuing the street thug, Sam runs back to Molly and discovers that he has died from the gunshot and become a ghost after seeing Molly crying over his dead body. Sam stays by a distraught Molly, trying to come to grips with his condition, when Carl comes over and suggests they take a walk, but Sam cannot bring himself to follow. Moments later, the mugger enters the apartment, evidently searching for something. When Molly returns, Sam scares their cat into attacking the thug, who flees. Following him to his apartment in Brooklyn, Sam learns that the man's name is Willie Lopez and he was looking for something in Sam's apartment and will return to find it later. Sam happens upon the parlor of Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg); a con artist posing as a medium who realizes she has an actual gift when she can hear Sam. He convinces her of the danger that Molly is in and to warn her. She is met by skepticism until she relays information that only Sam would know.

The story begins on "the strangest day" of Larry Burrows' (James Belushi) life (his 35th birthday) consisting of a series of comic and dramatic misadventures. Larry, who blames all of his life's problems on the fact that he struck out during a key moment of a high school baseball game on his 15th birthday, wishes he had done things differently. His wish is granted by a guardian angel-like figure named Mike (Michael Caine), and appears at various times as a bartender, a cab driver, and so on. Ray Kinsella is a novice Iowa farmer who lives with his wife Annie and daughter Karin. In the opening narration, Ray explains how he had a troubled relationship with his father, John Kinsella, who had been a devoted baseball fan. While walking through his cornfield one evening, Ray hears a voice whispering, "If you build it, he will come." Ray continues hearing the voice before finally seeing a vision of a baseball diamond in his field. Annie is skeptical of his vision, but she allows Ray to plow the corn under in order to build a baseball field. As Ray builds the field, he tells Karin the story of baseball's 1919 Black Sox Scandal. As months pass and nothing happens at the field, Ray's family faces financial ruin until, one night, Karin spots a uniformed man in the field. Ray recognizes the man as Shoeless Joe Jackson, a deceased baseball player idolized by Ray's father. Thrilled to be able to play baseball again, Joe asks to bring others to the field to play. He later returns with the seven other players banned as a result of the 1919 scandal.

De retour d'Orient la jeune Ann Carrington se rend en taxi au manoir de son père qu'elle ne connait pas en compagnie de son amie Gail Richards. En chemin un mystérieux tireur embusqué fait éclater les pneus du taxi qui verse dans le fossé. Personne n'est blessé, mais le chauffeur de taxi laisse les deux jeunes femmes pendant qu'il s'en va chercher des secours. Celui-ci tardant à revenir, ils se font prendre (pratiquement de force) en stop par Topper et son chauffeur. Arrivé au manoir le médecin de famille met en garde Ann sur le fait que son père n'en a plus pour longtemps et qu'il ne fait pas le fatiguer. L'aspect morgue et lugubre des gens de maison de Carrington les amuse plutôt qu'autre chose, mais en passant sous un immense plafonnier celui-ci se dégringole et manque de justesse de s'écraser sur Ann. Les deux jeunes femmes sont logées dans de luxueuses chambres mais par caprice se les échangent. La nuit un mystérieux personnage pénètre dans la chambre d'Ann (qui n'y est donc pas) et poignarde à mort Gail. Le fantôme de Gail se détache de son corps et se rend chez Topper en l'obligeant à l'aider à retrouver son assassin. Le chauffeur de ce dernier qui les a accompagnés est terrorisé par le personnage invisible de Gail qui laisse des traces de pas sur le sol enneigé, prend la fuite et retourne chez ses maîtres. Madame Topper l'interroge et scandalisée par cette escapade nocturne de son mari s'en va à son tour chez les Carrington avec sa bonne et son chauffeur. Chez les Carrington, Gail et Topper retrouvent le corps assassiné, mais ce dernier se fait surprendre, finit par parler d'un cadavre, mais celui-ci vient de disparaître. Il s'ensuit un impressionnant et long chassé-croisé de tous ces personnages qui se croisent, se cachent, disparaissent, reviennent et passent par des passages secrets, d'autant qu'il faut maintenant y ajouter le chauffeur de taxi revenu toucher le prix de sa course et l'inspecteur de police accompagné de policiers. Le chauffeur de Topper disparaît dans une trappe, tombe dans un égout et voit des mystérieux personnages embarquer le cadavre de Gail. Finalement Topper arrivera à confondre l'assassin qui n'est autre que la personne qui se faisait passer pour le père d'Ann, (avec la complicité de la bonne) il prendra la fuite poursuivi en voiture par le fantôme de Gail et victime d'un accident il deviendra fantôme à son tour.

Following the events of the first film, Ning (Leslie Cheung) parts ways with the monk Yin (Wu Ma) and returns to his home village, which has since fallen on desperate times.
