Synopsis
Psychologue criminelle, Kate Fuller est chargée d'enquêter sur la mort d'un homme qui semble avoir été étranglé par sa propre femme alors qu'il dormait. Mais leur petite fille, témoin du meurtre, raconte à Fuller qu'un démon nommé Mara l'a tué. Ce dernier s’incrusterait dans les esprits des personnes victimes de paralysie du sommeil. Lorsqu'elles s'endorment, elle sont paralysées et attaquées par cet créature démoniaque. Très vite, lors de son sommeil, Kate ressent les mêmes symptômes pétrifiants que toutes les victimes, ce qui la pousse à percer rapidement ce mystère avant de tomber de fatigue et d'être tuée par Mara...Actors
