Synopsis
Le commissaire Huysmans, un flic désabusé, enquête sur les meurtres perpétrés par un tueur en série sur des prostituées et des travestis de Bruxelles. À sa sortie de prison, Bo Ancelin - un jeune homme en transition - qui a choisi de vivre en travesti - balade ses incertitudes sur les trottoirs de cette ville, cherchant à obtenir les faveurs du beau Johnny dont il ne reçoit que sarcasmes et humiliations. Les destins de ces deux hommes se croisent lorsque des amis de Bo sont, à leur tour, victimes de l'assassin. Le jeune travesti mène alors sa propre enquête pour écarter les soupçons qui pèsent sur lui.Actors

Issue de milieu modeste, la jeune Emma Eckhert commence sa carrière comme employée dans la chapellerie familiale. En 1921, elle connaît ses premiers ennuis avec la justice en même temps qu'elle scandalise son entourage par son homosexualité. Son mariage avec Moïse Nathanson, un ami de la famille plus âgé qu'elle, ne l'empêche ainsi pas de poursuivre sa liaison avec Camille Sowcroft, la fille d'un bijoutier, qui l'aide à s'enrichir en lui avançant de l'argent qu'Emma fait rapidement fructifier par d'astucieuses opérations boursières. En 1929, Emma est devenue l'une des banquières les plus appréciées de Paris. Mais sa fulgurante réussite lui attire entre autres l'antipathie du puissant banquier Horace Vannister, qui est une réplique du banquier Horace Finaly ; celui-ci intervient auprès du Président du Conseil Préfailles, qui est une réplique de Raymond Poincaré, pour faire interdire les activités d'Emma Eckhert, qui est une réplique de Marthe Hanau et la poursuivre en justice. Celle-ci finit par être assassinée au cours d'un meeting où elle expliquait aux épargnants qui lui avaient fait confiance, comment elle allait les rembourser.

David Aurphet, a struggling guitar teacher is invited to give lessons to Viviane Tombsthay the daughter of a well-to-do couple. The wife, Julia, seduces him easily. They seem to be set on a standard affair when David gets a video with footage of their adultery. He confides in a friend Edwige who has a VCR and is a neighbour of the Tombsthays. At the same time, David is attacked but saved by the strange Daniel Forest. He admits to being a killer with Graham Thombsthay as a target. He warns David about Julia, giving him a gun. While her husband is away Julia invites David to their home. David arrives but finds Graham there wanting to kill him. David uses the gun. Julia warns David to hide and he seeks refuge with Edwige. She shows him a video that proves that Julia has killed Graham. David returns to the house where he finds Daniel, with a gun. David kills him, hides the body and leaves to look for Viviane with whom he will escape.

Two cousins related by marriage, Marthe (Marie-Christine Barrault) and Ludovic (Victor Lanoux), meet at a family wedding for the first time.
