Add to a movie listMax Steel is an upcoming American action adventure film directed by Stewart Hendler and written by Christopher Yost, and stars Ben Winchell, Ana Villafañe, Andy García, Maria Bello and Billy Slaughter. The film chronicles the adventures of teenage Max McGrath and alien companion Steel, who harness and combine their tremendous powers to evolve into the turbo charged superhero Max Steel.
The filming began on April 29, 2014, in Wilmington, North Carolina and wrapped in late-May 2014. Dolphin Films and Mattel Entertainment are co-producing while Open Road Films will release the film in the United States.
Synopsis
Max Steel is an in-depth "origin" story. The plot chronicles the adventures of teenage Max McGrath™ and alien companion Steel, who must harness and combine their tremendous new powers to evolve into the turbo-charged superhero Max Steel. As these two unlikely friends struggle to accept their oddly connected fates, they begin to uncover unimaginable secrets, working together to find the truth, and fighting the mysterious forces threatening their world.Actors

Many years ago, the planet Cybertron was consumed by a civil war by the two Transformer factions, the Autobots led by Optimus Prime, and the Decepticons led by Megatron. Optimus jettisoned the AllSpark, a mystical artefact that brings life to the planet, into space, but Megatron pursued it. Megatron crashed in the Arctic Circle and froze, discovered in 1897 by explorer Archibald Witwicky. Witwicky activated Megatron’s navigational system, which scanned the AllSpark’s coordinates into his glasses. The glasses end up in the possession of his great-great-grandson Sam Witwicky. In the present day, Sam buys his first car, a rusting Chevrolet Camaro, but discovers it has a life of its own.

In 2005, Unicron, a roaming artificial planet, devours robot planet Lithone. Elsewhere, the evil Decepticons control the Transformers' homeworld, Cybertron.
