Synopsis
A young man inherits a house in a Florida swamp from an uncle he never knew. The audience sees a person enter through a window, into what is supposed to be an unoccupied house. Those who arrive to reopen the house find themselves in danger from an unknown assailant.Actors

A young reporter for the small coastal California village newspaper Seaside Record, Ned Charters (Ralph Bushman) begins to investigate the criminal activities of a gang of liquor smugglers after two revenue agents Tom Kennedy (Jack Perrin) and Harvey Leonard (Hal Walters) are caught in a shoot-out. Tom survives the attack, but Harvey is killed. Harvey's young sister Helen Leonard (Mildred Harris), who works as a cigarette girl at the gang's local hangout, the Surfridge Inn, vows revenge and begins to assist Ned in his investigation of the smugglers. After Tom Kennedy recovers he joins the trio in bringing the gang to justice. Along the way, car chases and gun battles ensue, with Ned at one point jumping from a speeding motorcycle to intercept a runaway automobile. By film's end, the gang of smugglers is imprisoned and Ned and Helen have found true love with one another.

It is prior to the commencement of World War II, and Japan's fiendish Black Dragon Society is hatching an evil plot with the Nazis. A group of illegal immigrants are smuggled from China to South Korea inside a shipping container, but when it's opened in the affluent Seoul suburb of Bundang by traffickers, it's discovered that all of the immigrants are dead, except for one man, a carrier of a deadly strain of H5N1 (avian influenza, or bird flu). As the man escapes, he quickly spreads the virus to nearby residents. Getting ready for dinner one night, Jamie Ashen and his wife Lisa receive a mysterious ventriloquist doll named "Billy", in an unmarked package. Wondering who sent the doll, Lisa recalls a poem about a woman named Mary Shaw. Jamie disregards this and leaves to get dinner. After Lisa plays around with Billy, all the sounds disappear and something attacks Lisa. When Jamie arrives with their dinner, he hears Lisa call him into the bedroom, but becomes confused when he notices blood all over the floor. Jamie finds Lisa in their bed, dead with her tongue ripped out, and Billy lying near her body. Detective Jim Lipton brings Jamie in for questioning of the murder of his wife, but releases him due to lack of evidence. While ripping the lining of the box Billy came in, Jamie discovers that Billy belonged to Mary Shaw, a ventriloquist from his hometown of Ravens Fair.

In an unnamed dystopian country, two cops, Eros (Ario Bayu) and Hendro Waluyo (August Melasz) investigate a case of five people being burned alive after a woman shouted them as thieves. Meanwhile, a down-on-luck narcoleptic journalist, Janus (Fachry Albar), is late to attend his divorce with Sari (Shanty). He searches the recent news and meets the widow of one of the burned victims, a pregnant woman named Ratih. Sneaking on her conversation with a nurse through a hidden tape recorder, Janus later watches as Ratih is hit by a bus outside the hospital and passes out from his narcolepsy, mysteriously waking up inside the hospital afterwards. Janus and his friend, Soebandi, hear from the tape a Javanese prose quoted by Ratih of something that is in "Bukit Bendonowongso, in front of Candi Tujuh Anak Tangga". When the two part ways, a pale white-skinned creature, Pindoro (Yose Rizal Manua) follows Soebandi and apparently beheads him. Janus is taken for questioning by Eros; after the latter leaves, fellow cop Bambang Sutrisno (Frans Tumbuan) threatens Janus to tell him the contents of the tape.
