Miss December is a 2011 dark romantic comedy directed by Derek Lindeman and written by Faith Brody. Jensen Bucher plays Ari, a waitress who believes she may be the next victim of a serial killer.

Synopsis

The "Calendar Girl Killer" has been murdering a different girl in Philadelphia every month and sending their photos to the press in pin-up style poses. After a taunting letter to the press describing his future 'Miss December', a waitress named Ari believes he has selected her and finds it flattering rather than horrifying and attempts to figure out who her 'secret admirer' may be.

The story is set in mid-19th century in Siam, during the King Mongkut Era and at the height of the Rattanakosin Dynasty, when Siam was plagued with wars with its neighbouring kingdoms. Mak (Mario Maurer) was drafted to serve in a war to invade against Kingdom of Konbaung, forcing him to leave behind his pregnant wife Nak (Davika Hoorne) at the town of Phra Khanong, not far from Central Bangkok. He was wounded during a battle and sent to a medical camp, where he met Ter, Puak, Shin and Aey, who later became his best friends. Meanwhile, in Phra Khanong, Nak struggled alone painfully to give birth to the baby. Shortly after, villagers in the neighborhood heard her singing lullabies to her baby, causing hair-raising chills and making them cower in fear. Rumours started circulating around the village that Nak had already died in labor and was now a ghost haunting the house.

The movie is set in 1985, in the fictional town of Quatssack, New Hampshire. Quatssack seems like a nice, ordinary town, but it harbors a dark and deadly secret: it is the home of the Children of the Yeti, an evil cult that worships a yeti that lives in the woods. The U.S. government grows worried for the nation's avocado supply after some confrontations with the "Piranha" tribe of cannibal women, who live in the mysterious "Avocado Jungle" (westernmost outpost: San Bernardino) and ritually sacrifice and eat men. 18 septembre 2017. Tree se réveille aussitôt dans la chambre de Carter et se rend compte bientôt qu'elle est en train de revivre la même journée.
