Synopsis
A concert to celebrate Bulgaria joining the EU is planned at the Embassy in London. Varadin, the new ambassador, is given the role of ensuring that the Queen attends. However a combination of corrupt staff, criminal gangs operating out of the kitchen, falling in love with a stripper and a little misunderstanding with a PR firm that provides look-alike royalties - the basic job turns into a chaotic nightmare.Actors

The film depicts the lives and misadventures of two "resting" (struggling and unemployed) young actor friends in late-1969 London. They are the flamboyant alcoholic Withnail and "I" (named "Marwood" in the published screenplay but not in the credits) as his more level-headed, anxiety-prone, and ennui-crippled friend and the film's narrator. Withnail is filled with indignation over life’s injustices, despite his privileged background. He rages against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune all the more because he blames others for the adverse consequences of his exuberant arrogance, flagrant narcissism and habitual lying, alcoholism, and drug use. Withnail sets the tone for the friendship, with Marwood going along with whatever Withnail wants to do. They live in a filthy Georgian flat in Camden Town. While they wait for a part, daily life revolves around getting coins to use in the meters that provide gas or electricity, going to collect benefits, and waiting for the pubs to open so they can drink and be somewhere with heating. Their only other company at the flat besides each other is the local drug dealer, Danny; a somewhat distasteful man with far out, often bizarre viewpoints on the current state of affairs and a knack for irritating Withnail.

Much later, he is "sectioned" after a motorcycle accident is viewed as a suicide attempt, and he meets his now 16-year-old daughter while confined to a psychiatric hospital. Her mother felt she had been betrayed by this guy and also has a father who is an old rocker she believed had also failed her so she does not want her daughter to be involved in what she sees as the decadent world of rock music. In spite of her mother's attempts to keep her apart from it though she and her dad get to know each other and become the family they should have been all along.

Somewhere in Spain, off-road race car driver Ben (Spencer) is anticipating the next rallycross race he will be in, because of the prize—a red Puma dune buggy with yellow top. However, he does not count on "The Kid" (Hill) entering the competition, and he also has a talent for the sport—and an eye on that same dune buggy. During the race, each man battles furiously to the finish line. But in a surprise, they both end up tying for first place, and they are both awarded the dune buggy. They run from their cars and touch the buggy at the same time. Of course, sharing is out of the question, so they soon get to a serious discussion as to how it should be decided as to who gets the buggy.
