Monas verden (eng. Mona's World) is a Danish film from 2001, directed by Jonas Elmer.

The actors could work relatively freely of a script by Nikolaj Peyk. The story was first created by Jonas Elmer with Sidse Babet Knudsen, and given to the actors (12-13 pages). A test filming of the improvisation took place, and was then made in to the script by Nikolaj Peyk.

Jonas Elmer also had the idea of creating a website where everybody could write suggestions for the film, such as the actor's lines, the locations, the poster, taglines, logos, and the plot of the film. The website (monasverden.tv2.dk) was put up in 2000.

L'accusé refuse de se justifier, préférant répéter qu'il est innocent. Racine opère la sélection des jurés, issus de différents milieux sociaux. Soudain, il tire au sort le nom de Ditte Lorensen-Cottret, qu'il semble connaître. Lorsque les jurés se rendent dans un bistrot pour faire plus ample connaissance, Racine envoie un SMS sur le portable de Ditte. Il est révélé que Ditte travaille comme médecin anesthésiste dans un hôpital, qu'elle est divorcée et mère d'une adolescente de dix-sept ans, et qu'elle a soigné Racine à la suite d'un accident six ans auparavant. Racine, tombé amoureux d'elle lors de son séjour à l'hôpital, lui avait envoyé une lettre d'amour, restée sans réponse. Il l'avait revue lors d'un repas entre amis, mais elle avait coupé court à toute relation. Ils reparlent du passé en buvant un verre, dévoilant une facette plus humaine de la personnalité de Racine.

When Wilbur leaves the hospital after having tried once more to kill himself, the staff ask his brother Harbour to let Wilbur move in with him. The brothers thus share their childhood flat, next door to the bookshop their father left them. Uninterested in the family business, Wilbur works in a nursery. Harbour takes care of the shop and meets Alice, a mother who sells him the books she finds when working as a cleaner at the hospital. When she is sacked for always being late at work, she goes to see Harbour to explain why she won't be coming to the bookshop anymore, since she has no books to sell. Following his brother's advice on "grabbing" women, Harbour asks Alice to marry him. The wedding meal takes place in an Asian restaurant and allows Wilbur to get acquainted with Sophie, Alice's ex-colleague from the hospital. The two start flirting, but Wilbur pushes Sophie away after she licks his ear. He goes back home and slits his wrists in the bathtub. Harbour finds his brother just in time and Alice saves Wilbur by using towels to stop the bleeding. While discussing Wilbur with Alice, Harbour ends up telling her his brother feels responsible for their mother's death.

Alfredo López is an exasperated encyclopedia salesman for the Montoya Publishing House and lives with his faithful wife Carmen in 1973 Spain. Carmen and Alfredo are offered by the Montoya Publishing House to create pornographic films that will be imported into Scandinavian countries under the pretence of being an audiovisual encyclopedia of human reproduction. They have no other choice as Alfredo's encyclopedia sales are practically zero and Carmen loses her job. Unknowingly, Carmen becomes an adult film star in the Northern European countries though they are well-paid for their films. In the meantime Alfredo and Carmen are trying to have a child and Carmen discovers that Alfredo has a sperm count of zero.
