Synopsis
Pour son premier voyage aux États-Unis, Raj (Chaim Jeraffi) rend visite à son neveu Andy (Ajay Naidu), chauffeur de taxi à Los Angeles. Durant le vol pour Miami, il fait la rencontre d'une redoutable femme gangster nommée Victoria Galetti dite Vic (Mercedes Ruehl). Dénoncée à la police par un ex-employé rancunier, Vic se voit contrainte de planquer un million de dollars dans les bagages de Raj. Plus tard, elle fait appel à deux hommes de main, De Salvo (Joe Mantegna) et Quinn (Paul Hipp), pour récupérer l'argent.Actors

Detective Rita Rizzoli (Whoopi Goldberg) is an undercover narcotics police officer who stages an undercover buy with drug dealer Tito Delgadillo, when during the bust she sees her friend and informant Charlene being dragged out of the bar by her pimp and runs to her aid, alerting Delgadillo of being an undercover cop. After saving Charlene and shooting the pimp, Rizzoli notices all the money used for the buy is missing. Delgadillo retreats to a warehouse in Los Angeles where a family of Asian immigrants is preparing plastic envelopes of imported cocaine stamped with the gang's brand name "Fatal Beauty". One worker, however, has been sampling too much of the drug and, in his intoxicated state, prepares envelopes with a fatally high concentration of cocaine and a misaligned stamp. Delgadillo discovers the error but before they can correct it, the house is attacked by two small-time hoods, Leo Nova and Earl Skinner (Brad Dourif and Mike Jolly) who kill everyone within including Delgadillo and steal the lethal product.

Michael Makeshift (Jason Alexander) is a schnook who can't get over the fact his girlfriend dumped him. To make matters worse, his landlord is beginning to bug him for long-overdue rent. Things for Michael's brother Reggie (James Woods) are much better. He is planning to rob the credit union where his own mother (Bea Arthur) works. His new wife Valerie (Lolita Davidovitch) has no idea what Reggie is planning and is therefore puzzled when she awakes at Michael's apartment after Reggie left her there whilst she was drunk and unconscious. Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze), a banker and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore), a potter, are a couple who renovate and move into an apartment in New York City with the help of Sam's friend Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn). Moments later, the mugger enters the apartment, evidently searching for something. When Molly returns, Sam scares their cat into attacking the thug, who flees. Following him to his apartment in Brooklyn, Sam learns that the man's name is Willie Lopez and he was looking for something in Sam's apartment and will return to find it later. Sam happens upon the parlor of Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg); a con artist posing as a medium who realizes she has an actual gift when she can hear Sam. He convinces her of the danger that Molly is in and to warn her. She is met by skepticism until she relays information that only Sam would know.

Hit men Tom and Jerry wait in a Chicago bar for the go-ahead to kill Stanley.
