Synopsis
Papa Moll exerce des responsabilités dans une chocolaterie qui va connaître des problèmes techniques suite à la mise en production d'un nouveau produit. Parallèlement, Mme Moll part en vacances et Papa Moll emmène au cirque ses 3 enfants ainsi que les deux enfants de son directeur, qui passent leur temps à ennuyer ses enfants.Comments

Sethupathy (Kamal Haasan) is an honest and upright police officer. When he arrests four bigwigs Dharmaraj (Nagesh), Francis Anbarasu (Delhi Ganesh), Nallasivam (Nasser) and Satyamoorthy (Jaishankar), they escape justice easily and return to take revenge. They kill him and poison his wife (Srividya). She escapes and gives birth to twins with the help of another woman Muniyamma (Manorama) but the babies are separated and each woman believes that the other is dead because of the events happening next to birth. One of the twins, Raja (Kamal Haasan) grows up as a mechanic with Muniyamma, while the other twin, Appu (Kamal Haasan), a dwarf, grows up in the circus with his mother.

The film begins with Gilly Noble (Chris Klein) taking a stray cat named "Ringo" to the animal shelter where he works in Shelbyville, Indiana. Gilly gets his hair cut by a beautiful young aspiring hairdresser named Jo Wingfield (Heather Graham). As Jo cuts Gilly's hair, she mentions that she recently lost a tail-less cat named Ringo, leading Gilly to tell her that Ringo is at the pound. The excitement causes Jo to accidentally cuts off a part of Gilly's ear, and he is rushed to the hospital where the ear is reattached. To make up for the incident, Jo invites Gilly to her house for lunch the next day, where Gilly meets Jo's self-centered mother, Valdine (Sally Field), and stroke-suffering father, Walter (Richard Jenkins).

An elderly man at The Shady Rest Retirement Home in East Texas is known to the staff as Sebastian Haff, but claims to be Elvis. Léna vient de se séparer de son mari Nigel et obtient la garde de ses deux enfants. Elle est cependant dans une période de grande confusion personnelle et sentimentale amplifiée par l'abandon de son travail d'anesthésiste à l'hôpital. Elle part passer quelques jours de vacances dans la maison familiale de Bretagne en compagnie de ses enfants, de ses parents et de sa sœur et son frère. Cependant sa mère Annie, avec l'accord de l'ensemble de la famille présente, décide d'inviter Nigel quelques jours pour lui permettre de voir ses enfants, tout en espérant secrètement un rabibochage du couple. Face au fait accompli, Léna s'irrite et dans un premier temps décide de partir immédiatement avant de se raviser. Les tensions entre les différents binômes composant la famille sont importantes avec cependant pour source commune la recherche difficile du bonheur individuel au sein du fragile équilibre des couples. Léna, étouffée par sa famille et son absence de repères dans sa vie, s'enfonce dans une période faite d'incertitudes et de décisions contradictoires.

Small Change is a comedy with a serious message, based around the daily lives of young children in Thiers, France. Scenes include a baby and a cat perilously playing on an open windowsill, a girl causing confusion with a bullhorn, a double date at the movie theater, a kid telling a dirty joke, a botched haircut, as well as many scenes about school life. Yet throughout this the difficulties and responsibilities faced by children appear, including the ongoing story of a boy's experience of an abusive home. Truffaut gives a message of resilience in the face of injustice, vocalized through one of the teachers. The story ends with a message of hope, the school closing for the summer vacation, and one of the key characters finding his first love at a summer camp.
