Mr. Nice Guy (一個好人, LSHK Jat1 go3 hou2 jan4) is a 1997 Hong Kong action film directed by Sammo Hung, who makes a cameo as an unfortunate cyclist. The film stars Jackie Chan and Richard Norton. The film was released in the Hong Kong on January 31, 1997.
Mr. Nice Guy features a collaboration between Jackie Chan and Richard Norton, reuniting them for the first time since 1993's City Hunter and also Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung had worked in the 1985's Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars. Mr. Nice Guy was filmed in Melbourne, Australia.
Synopsis
Television journalist Diana (Gabrielle Fitzpatrick) records footage of a cocaine deal gone wrong between the Italian mob and a street gang called "The Demons" with mob boss Giancarlo (Richard Norton) killing the Demons' leader. Diana's partner Richard is captured and she bumps into TV chef Jackie (Jackie Chan), who helps her escape from the mob. During the chase, she accidentally switches the videotape of the drug trade with one of Jackie's cooking videos from a box of tapes, who he later gives to his friend Romeo, an officer for the city's police department.Actors

Chan Foh To (Jackie Chan) is a junkyard mechanic and a part-time race car driver who helps the Hong Kong Police Force in their crackdown on illegal street racing in the country. One night, while helping news reporter Amy Yip (Anita Yuen) and Kong (Ken Lo) after their Mitsubishi FTO runs out of gasoline, Chan commandeers the car with Amy inside to chase after a speeding black Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 driven by the dangerous criminal driver Warner "Cougar" Kaugman (Thorsten Nickel). In the high speed car chase's climax, Chan traps Cougar in a police roadblock and has him apprehended. However, due to a lack of evidence and a warrant for arrest, Cougar is immediately released from police custody. Chan continues to be harassed by Amy, who wants to do a cover story of him.

Five prisoners - Teapot (Sammo Hung), Curly (John Sham), Exhaust Pipe (Richard Ng), Vaseline (Charlie Chan), and Rookie (Stanley Fung) meet in their cell to form a friendship. The Five Lucky Stars, one of them being replaced by a younger brother, are assigned by the police to allow an actress to live with them. The actress has information on a crime syndicate and assassins are sent after her. Ricky (Yuen Biao) and Swordflower are to stay at the actress’s home undercover to capture the assassins. Throughout the course of the movie, the Stars chase the attractive woman around the house, though their efforts are largely unsuccessful. At the climax, the three assassins eventually end up at a recreation building to take down Swordflower (mistaking her to be their target), but coincidentally Kidstuff (Sammo Hung) and his friends are there and they recognize one of them, with help from the actress. Muscle (Jackie Chan) and Ricky arrive in the nick of time and a showdown takes place, eventually ending with the protagonists victorious. The police and a large ensemble of Chinese actors arrive to congratulate them.

Police inspector Pierre Lau (Sammo Hung) and his young superior Tang Chuen Shek (Takeshi Kaneshiro) are ordered to cooperate with customs officer Rambo Wong (Yuen Biao) to foil a drug trade. During the operation, they arrest Nakamura, a major drug lord and seize the largest bulk of drugs since the start of Hong Kong. Japanese businessman Yamamoto (Kelvin Siu) is the mastermind of the Nakmura Organization. Due to the large amount of drugs being confiscated and with nothing left, Yamamoto desperately decides to order his underling Siu Lung (Collin Chou) to hire some thugs from America to help him snatch the drugs at the police station to destroy the evidence so Yamamoto would not face any charges and restore the collapse Nakamura Organization.
