It also stars two first time actors with Down syndrome, Christopher Scott and Donovan Jennings. Two developmentally disabled actors played leading roles, and also an African American actor with a developmental disability played a leading role.
The movie was produced by Gregory Segal for Angel Baby Entertainment and Liberty Artists. The executive producer was Michael Malagiero. The cinematographer was John Saywer.
The movie was released theatrically in March 2007 in 19 cities by CodeBlack Entertainment. The DVD was released in May 2007 by Universal.
Synopsis

In the late 16th century, the kingdom of Joseon is thrown into chaos by the threat of a Japanese invasion. Young Jim Hawkins (Cooper) and his mother run the Admiral Benbow, a tavern near Bristol, England. In 1821, Don Diego De La Vega (Anthony Hopkins) fights against the Spanish in the Mexican War of Independence as Zorro, a mysterious swordsman who defends the Mexican peasants and commoners of Las Californias. De La Vega decides that fate has brought them together, and agrees to make Alejandro his protégé, grooming him to be the new Zorro. Murrieta agrees to undergo De La Vega's training regimen in order to be able to take revenge on Captain Harrison Love (Matt Letscher), Montero's right-hand man, who was responsible for killing Murrieta's brother, Joaquin.

Une procession officielle tourne au carnage lorsque les gardes de l'escorte tentent de tuer un jeune garçon d'origine chinoise qui a eu le malheur de se trouver sur leur route. Mais ils sont poursuivis par les hommes du gouvernement et des yakuzas à leur solde, qui veulent faire disparaître les derniers témoins du drame tout en accusant Wang du massacre. Ce dernier se méfie de tout le monde, y compris de Zatoichi dont il ne comprend pas la langue.
