Never Fear (1949) is an American drama film, directed and co-written by Ida Lupino, and produced by Lupino and Collier Young.

The film is also known as The Young Lovers.

Synopsis

Carol Williams (played by Sally Forrest) is a beautiful young dancer with a promising career, struck down with and crippled by polio. Williams' dance partner and fiancé, Guy Richards (played by Keefe Brasselle), wants to see her through her illness, but Carol struggles with dealing with her recovery and prefers to go it alone. Her father (played by Herb Butterfield) takes her to the Kabat-Kaiser Institute for rehabilitation, where she meets fellow patients in recovery. One of the patients that inspire Carol's recovery is Len Randall (Hugh O'Brian in his first movie role). Only by allowing others to share her grief is Ms Williams able to pull herself together and go on with her life.

Sally Kelton, une jeune femme de dix-neuf ans, s'empare d'un bébé dans un landau. La police l'arrête et l'incarcère. À sa sortie de prison, Drew Baxter, propriétaire d'une station-service, où Sally est employée, l'attend, car, très amoureux, il souhaiterait se marier avec elle. La jeune femme s'enfuit dès qu'elle l'aperçoit. Drew, invalide d'une jambe, essaie, pourtant, de la poursuivre, mais il finit par s'effondrer. Sally tente, pour sa part, de se suicider. Quand elle voit Drew à terre, elle se retourne vers lui pour l'aider à se relever. C'est alors qu'ils s'étreignent mutuellement.

In German-occupied Paris, an announcer reports during a blackout that the Second Front has begun, with British forces invading the Continent, and that five Royal Air Force fighters have been shot down. The downed pilots split up and make their way to Paris to try to arrange their escape back to England. On the way, they break into a tavern in search of civilian clothes. When a German soldier shows up for a drink, Squadron Leader Paul Lavallier (Paul Henreid), a member of the Free French, knocks him out and takes his money.
