Synopsis

Bruce Sands, un artiste un peu dilettante aux amours volages, découvre que sa dernière conquête Bunny Winston veut l'épouser. Il cherche alors refuge chez son ami John Woodward, sans savoir que ce dernier a proposé le mariage à Bunny. Elle suit Sands chez Woodward, où Bruce a déjà commencé à flirter avec Audrey, la fille de Woodward. Un jour qu'Audrey est blessée en tombant de cheval, Bruce promet de l'épouser, la croyant mourante. Apprenant cela, Bunny accepte de se marier avec Woodward. Lorsque Audrey guérit, Bruce rompt sa promesse et rentre en ville, prêt à faire de nouvelles conquêtes. Bunny le suit mais il la repousse.

Young explorer Terry Lee and his grown-up sidekick, Pat Ryan, arrive in the Asian jungles in search of Terry's father, Dr. Herbert Lee. Through a series of confusions, Dudley Ainsworth (Douglas MacLean) is required to travel on a passener ship to Brazil, posing as tha American consul to a South American country. O the ship, he meets Margarita Carrosa (Patsy Ruth Miller) and becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving Margarita and thieves planning to steal gold from the American consulate in Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival in Brazil, Margarita is taken hostage by the thieves, and Ainsworth sends word to the U. S. Navy before rushing to an estate where Margarita is being held captive. Ainsworth captures the thieves and rescues the girl. The navy Admiral (Eric Mayne) arrives with the real Yankee consul to reveal that the entire set of events was a prank played on Ainsworth by his friends.

As described in a film publication, Curtis Steele (Oland), a society man at a film studio, has been pursuing actress Rita Moreland (Percy) and confronts her at the studio with the intention of making love to her. She repulses him and during the struggle shoots him. Steele staggers forward and collapses. She is terrified as she thought that the revolver had been loaded with blanks. As she bends over him, he leaps to his feet and with a sneering remark leaves. Later that night Rita is informed that Steele was found at the studio shot through the heart, and that there is a film showing Steel chasing her and then her shooting him. The serial then develops around Rita, her sweetheart, a villain, and the mystery of who killed Steele, who made the film, and attempts to obtain the film.
