Synopsis
Othello, un « noble Maure » tout juste marié à Desdémone, s’apprête à affronter les Turcs, à la tête de la flotte vénitienne. Par chance, les navires turcs ont été détruits par une tempête, et Othello est nommé gouverneur de Chypre. Iago, qui convoitait la place de second d’Othello, échue à Cassio, tient le Maure de Venise pour responsable et décide de se venger de lui. Il commence par évincer Cassio en l’enivrant et en déclenchant une émeute dont il rejète la faute sur le bras droit d’Othello, qui le répudie. Puis il va faire germer la jalousie dans l’esprit de son seigneur, en lui faisant croire que Desdémone le trompe avec Cassio .Actors

A boy eating lunch in a 1950s style kitchen plays war with his surrounding toys. A bomb blast outside the window frightens him under the table from where he is rescued and taken to an Amphitheatre, where an invisible audience cheers. An army resembling the Terracotta Army enter; Romans under the command of Titus Andronicus, the general at the center of the play, return victorious from war. They bring back as spoils Tamora, Queen of the Goths, her sons, and Aaron the Moor. Titus sacrifices Tamora’s eldest son, Alarbus, so the spirits of his 21 dead sons might be appeased. Tamora eloquently begs for the life of Alarbus, but Titus refuses her plea.

The Lion in Winter is set during Christmas 1183, at King Henry II's château and primary residence in Chinon, Anjou, within the Angevin Empire of medieval France. Henry wants his youngest son, the future King John, to inherit his throne, while his estranged and imprisoned wife, Duchess Eleanor of Aquitaine, favours their oldest surviving son, the future King Richard the Lionheart. Estranged sisters Isobel and Marion are forced to reunite when their father dies and they must decide how to handle Katherine, their young, alcoholic, mentally unstable stepmother who has been left nothing but the rural home in which they were raised. Isobel and her lover Patrick own a small graphic design company that is struggling to stay afloat. Her sister suggests she and her born-again Christian husband Tom help them expand the business by finding investors and making Katherine a partner responsible for finding new business. Isobel has grave misgivings about the plan, but finally agrees to it when Marion convinces Patrick of its potential success. Before long, the strain of running the expanded business impacts Isobel's relationship with Patrick, who is becoming increasingly dependent upon her, while at the same time Katherine's tenuous hold on sanity begins to unravel.
