Pavitra is an 2013 adult Telugu film Directed by Janardhan Maharshi starring Shriya Saran, Roja Selvamani, Tanikella Bharani and Kaushik Babu in pivotial roles. K.Sadhak Kumar and G.Maheshwara Reddy produced this film on Aadesh films Banner. The Soundtrack is scored by M.M.Srilekha. Shriya will be seen in a Bold Role of a Prostitute in this film. Several wallpapers and working stills were released on 5 Jan'13. Pavitra will also be released in Tamil and Malayalam.

The film’s Tamil version has been titled ‘En Peyar Pavitra’. Which will release on the eve of Saran's birthday. Also the makers have retained the Telugu title for the Malayalam version as well.

According to the director, the film is inspired from a real incident where a prostitute, who was humiliated by a politician, goes on to defeat him in an election. Pavitra’s audio is already making waves amongst music buffs, meanwhile the film’s platinum disc function was held on 19 May to celebrate the audio success. The film was released on 7 June 2013 to good reviews and emerged as a commercial success.

Synopsis

The girl on its wishes goes to mumbai and falls in love with himesh,but himesh cheats on her and breaks up with her.She with broken heart goes alone on her path sleeping with any man and any boy.She then decides to take her revenge on himesh.

The film opens in a street in Hyderabad in a night with Krishna (Vishnu Manchu) saving Sirisha (Shanvi Srivastava) from some eve teasers and accompanying her to the hostel she stays. In the journey, they both come to know that they hail from Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. Anna is a sexagenarian man who always thinks about the welfare of the people of Rayalaseema and they too revere him equal to god. Anna is a very powerful and influential don who also controls the political affairs of that region. His friend Ananda Rao (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna), a ruling party politician, is his close friend and he and the party extends their full support to Anna to stop the Nandavaram project whose happening would destroy 34 villages completely. On the other hand, a group of influential people working under a mysterious man try to make the project to earn crores. The group consists of KR, Vedantham Murthy aka Vedam (Tanikella Bharani), Chandi (Jeeva) and Seshagiri who is fond of cakes.
