The film deals with the reconstruction of the Piazza Fontana bombing that took place in Milan December 12, 1969, and of the tragic events that ensued, from the death of Giuseppe Pinelli, which occurred in mysterious circumstances during an interrogation, to the death of the Commissioner Luigi Calabresi, who had led the investigation.
Romanzo di una strage entered the 2012 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, in which it won the Special Jury Prize. It was nominated to 16 David di Donatello awards, and won three (for best supporting actor, best supporting actress and best visual effects). It also won three Nastro d'Argento awards (for best script, best actor and best supporting actress) and two Ciak d'oro (for best supporting actor and best score).
Synopsis
À Milan, le 12 décembre 1969, sur la Piazza Fontana, en milieu d'après-midi, une explosion dévaste l'agence de la Banque nationale de l'Agriculture, encore pleine de clients. Dix-sept personnes périssent et quatre-vingt huit autres sont grièvement blessées. Au même moment, à Rome, trois autres bombes explosent, et un autre engin qui n'a pas explosé est retrouvé à Milan. Il est évident qu'il s'agit d'un plan subversif concerté.Actors

The Best of Youth is a family saga set in Italy from 1966 through 2003. Under the watchful eyes of Father Silvano Bentivoglio (Carmen Argenziano) and Dr. Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) initiates the Large Hadron Collider and creates three vials of antimatter particles larger than any that have ever been produced before. Almost immediately, Father Silvano is killed and one of the vials of antimatter goes missing. The Camerlengo Patrick McKenna (Ewan McGregor) assumes temporary control of the Vatican. The Illuminati kidnap four of the 'preferiti' (the favourite cardinals to be elected pope) before the conclave enters seclusion and threaten to kill one candidate every hour and destroy all of Vatican City at midnight, using the missing vial of antimatter as a bomb. The Vatican summons symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) from Harvard University and Vittoria from CERN to help them save the four preferiti and locate the vial.

The film opens with Peppino as a small child singing the popular song “Nel blu, dipinto di blu” with his brother in the back seat of a car on the way to a family gathering. The family is one of good standing in the social community and they are celebrating the fact that they have such a good life. In this scene the relationship between Peppino and his uncle Cesare is established. His uncle is a Don or Mafia boss in the small town of Cinisi where the story is set. In a scene soon after the happy family gathering we see don Cesare blown up by a car bomb which was planted by a rival Mafia boss. This ends Peppino’s time of innocence. Even as a small child he is thrust into the realities of life in the Mafia.

Le 21 août 1910, un berger, débile léger, José María Grimaldos, surnommé El cepa (Le Cep) est aperçu pour la dernière fois sur la route menant de la commune de Osa de la Vega à Tresjuncos, dans la province de Cuenca (Castille-La Manche). La famille de celui-ci, très inquiète, alerte les autorités policières. Deux bergers, Gregorio Valero et León Sánchez, sont suspectés en septembre 1911. L'affaire est pourtant close, faute de preuves suffisantes. En 1913, le juge Isasa fait rouvrir le dossier : Gregorio et León sont incarcérés par la Guardia Civil. Soumis à des interrogatoires serrés suivis de tortures, les deux hommes finissent par avouer un meurtre imaginaire. Le procureur requiert la peine de mort. Mais, en mai 1918, un jury populaire inflige dix-huit ans de prison aux deux condamnés. Après onze ans d'emprisonnement, Gregorio et León sont libérés dans le cadre d'une loi d'amnistie générale (février 1924). Deux ans plus tard, au début de l'année 1926, José María Grimaldos est découvert vivant dans un village voisin. Au cours d'un processus judiciaire plutôt long, les condamnations seront annulées par la Cour suprême.

The film traces the last hours of the life of poet and film director Pier Paolo Pasolini. The poet is killed at night in 1975 on the beach at Ostia, near Rome. A boy is arrested: Pino Pelosi, and charged with murder. The police and judges believe that Pelosi is the only murderer of Pasolini, but his injuries on the body of the poet are too severe and profound. Then are called to bear witness to the death of the poet his sister and his mother, destroyed by grief.
