Synopsis
Richard et Kathy ont décidé de changer de vie. Ils déménagent dans l'Arizona avec leur fils Sam dans une belle et grande maison. Et tous ont récemment subi un traumatisme : Kathy a été agressée à son domicile. Peu à peu, Kathy se reconstruit et parvient à trouver un travail auprès d'un auteur célèbre, Caleb Theroux. Parallèlement, Miles Porter, un inspecteur de la police, est à la recherche d'un meurtrier qui a laissé un livre étrange à côté du corps de la victime.Actors

The Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, a winged, dragon-like, female lizard, decides to take up residence in the art-deco spire of the Chrysler Building, taking frequent jaunts in the midday sun to devour various hapless New Yorkers. A deranged man calling himself James Pettis (Val Kilmer) approaches the Grand Rapids Press demanding that it publish his predictions about the upcoming demise of civilization due to the conditions of global warming, warning that he has trapped a group of six people in a Turkish-style steamroom to demonstrate the effects of this environment on humans. A local police detective Mancini (Armand Assante) tries to get Pettis to reveal information that will help him confirm the truth of his story, and to rescue the hostages, but over the course of the interrogation begins to suspect that either Pettis' story is a delusional hoax, or that the steamroom killing has already taken place.
