Saturday Night Out is a 1964 British comedy drama film directed by Robert Hartford-Davis and starring Heather Sears, John Bonney, Bernard Lee, Erika Remberg, Francesca Annis, Margaret Nolan and David Lodge. A trio of merchant seamen and several passengers disembark from their ship when it arrives at the Pool of London and go out for a Saturday night's entertainment in the city. It is noted for its portrayal of early Swinging London.

At a point in the distant future, the inhabitants of Planet Earth have become divided into two factions who despise each other. In Beatland live the hip and trendy people who have long hair, dress in turtlenecks, jeans and sunglasses and listen to cool beat music. Their counterparts on Ballad Isle keep their hair short and tidy, wear button-down shirts and pressed slacks or floral dresses and twinsets, and listen exclusively to crooners. A musical competition is staged annually between the two sides, overseen by the neutral and powerful record company executive Mr. A&R (Thornton). For the rest of the year they regard each other with suspicion and antipathy, although they are not above sneaking into each other's territory to steal musical ideas.

At the start of the Second World War, musician George Hepplewhite (George Formby) gets on a boat thinking he is on his way to Blackpool, but arrives in Bergen, Norway instead, where he is mistaken for another ukulele player. He then meets the desk girl at the hotel, Mary Wilson (Phyllis Calvert), who is a British undercover agent and thinks he is one too. The duo manage to find and break a code that the Nazis are using to sink Allied shipping. A noted sequence was a dream where George had been given a truth drug by the Nazi conductor Mendez, in which he gives Hitler a right hook.

The film opens in Victorian London on a December night in 1900. The first night of the season at the London Opera House finds the opening of a new opera by Lord Ambrose D'Arcy (Michael Gough), a wealthy and pompous man, who is annoyed and scornful when the opera manager Lattimer (Thorley Walters) informs him the theatre has not been completely sold out. No one will sit in a certain box because it is haunted. Backstage, despite the soothing efforts of the opera's producer, Harry Hunter (Edward de Souza), everyone, including the show's star, Maria, is nervous and upset as if a sinister force was at work. The climax comes during Maria's first aria, when a side of the scenery rips apart to reveal the body of a hanged stage hand. In a panic, the curtain is rung down, and Maria refuses to sing again.

When a fellow agent is murdered, secret agent Miss Maxwell (Lois Maxwell) is sent to find the murdered agent's girlfriend, Miss Yashuko (Yashuko Yama), who is in possession of valuable information. Formby plays a bumbling War Reservist police officer called George Carter who aspires to become a member of the flying squad. Eccentric multimillionaire Ezra Ounce (Hugh Herbert), whose main purpose in life is raising American morals through a nationwide campaign, wants to be assured that his fortune will be inherited by upstanding relatives, so he visits his cousin, Matilda Hemingway (ZaSu Pitts) in New York City, in Horace's view the center of immorality in America. Dupont-Dernier est un riche industriel qui entretien Wanda une belle aventurière qui est amoureuse de Jacques, un jeune homme désœuvré. Nous croisons alors un autre personnage Potopoto, agent d'assurance et motocycliste qui passe son temps à provoquer des accidents afin de placer des polices d'assurances.
