Synopsis
Five teenagers — Kate (Margo Harshman), Zack (Greg Cipes), Vicky (Carrie Finklea), Riff (Artie Baxter), and Ashley (Kelly Vitz) — are on their way to pan for gold during Spring Break when they make a wrong turn and wind up at a grave site. They encounter two strange older men, who warn them to return home, saying there have been murders in the area. The teens insist, asking for directions, and are directed towards a large store and told that it is 'town'. Making their way into town, four of the teens head inside the store while Zack puts gas in their van. Inside, the four teens meet the brothers Simon (Crispin Glover), who flees from them, and Stanley.Actors

The farming community of Watertown is struggling to survive a severe drought. Harvey Potter (Rip Torn) arrives in the community by renting a farm, which neighbors think is foolish. However, one day young Willow (Mara Wilson) passes by Potter's field to find his crop is full of magical, colorful balloons. Townspeople, with the exception of Weasel Mayfield (Roberts Blossom), believe that this a good sign that the drought may end soon. When the rough times continue to plague the community, the community turns against Harvey until Willow reminds everyone about the power of faith and the magic that Harvey has brought through the balloons.

The next day, Tommy tells his story to team-mate Ryan, and later protects him from local bully E.J. Needman. After winning several games Tommy joins Needman's team; but ultimately returns to that of his friends, and wins the game for them. Upon return to his future, he learns that he has remained in communication with his old friends ever since this victory.

The film opens in the summer of 1967 with Marshall Stouffer (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) being chased by his two older brothers, Mark (Devon Sawa) and Marty (Scott Bairstow). The two oldest brothers love using Marshall to film him in stunts, which he dislikes. Occasionally Marty and Mark will show footage of their antics in their garage to all their friends. George Henderson (John Lithgow) is returning home with his family from a camping trip when they hit something with the family station wagon. George investigates, and discovers to his horror and awe, that they had hit a Sasquatch. Deciding to take the creature home, George does so, strapping it to the roof of the car. Meanwhile, a mysterious hunter has been tracking the creature and discovers the Hendersons' license plate, which fell off when they hit the creature. At home, curiosity gets the best of George, and he goes out to the garage to examine the creature. Much to his shock, the creature was not dead and has since disappeared. He hears noises from his kitchen and sees the creature, it has knocked over the fridge in its attempt to find food. After waking the whole house, the family realizes that the creature is friendly and kind. George has a change of heart, at first he wished to make money from the creature, but now decides to take him back to the wild. Naming the creature "Harry", George tries to lure him into the station wagon, but Harry believes that the Hendersons mean him harm and instead he disappears.

Lyle Swann (Fred Ward) is a well-known dirt bike motorcycle racer who is in the desert competing in the Baja 1000, a multiclass vehicle cross-country race. Swann has a reputation for being a great rider but is plagued by technical problems from the high-tech gadgetry he incorporates into his C and J framed XT500 Yamaha.
