The film had its world premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival where it was voted second runner-up as "People's Choice Award for Best Film." It received a limited theatrical release on October 10, 2014, and expanded to a wide release on October 24. The same day, it was released on Netflix in France.
Synopsis
Vincent MacKenna (Bill Murray) is a Vietnam War veteran and retiree living in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. He is a grumpy alcoholic who smokes and gambles regularly. His wife, Sandy (Donna Mitchell), developed Alzheimer's Disease years ago and can no longer recognize him, but he still does her laundry at a nursing home where she lives and visits her weekly, posing as a doctor. Vincent's only other close friends are a pregnant Russian sex worker named Daka (Naomi Watts) and his cat, Felix. He owes many people money. Despite his antagonistic behavior toward strangers, Vincent does have acquaintances who like and respect him.Actors

Goble est envoyée dans son groupe pour vérifier les calculs, devenant la première Afro-Américaine à participer à ce groupe de recherche. Au début, elle est ignorée de ses collègues blancs et doit travailler à partir de données partiellement masquées (Goble n'ayant pas le niveau d'habilitation nécessaire) sous les ordres de Paul Stafford, un homme croyant en sa supériorité intellectuelle et refusant de reconnaître le travail de Katherine.

In spring 1939, Sara Delano, the mother of Franklin D. Roosevelt, asks his sixth cousin Margaret "Daisy" Suckley to visit the ill President of the United States at their country estate in Hyde Park, New York. Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) is a faded Hollywood actor best known for playing the superhero Birdman decades ago in a series of films. He is often tormented by the mocking, critical inner voice of Birdman, and frequently visualizes himself performing feats of levitation and telekinesis. The film opens with a quotation from Raymond Carver stating that the main fulfillment in life is related to having once been loved, then cuts to a dramatic atmospheric disturbance resembling a meteor descending in flames. The film then cuts to a surreal shot depicting Riggan as levitating in his stage room. Don Johnston (Bill Murray), a former Don Juan who made a small fortune in the computer industry, wants to live in quiet retirement. He is content to lounge around watching old movies and listening to classical or easy listening music. His current girlfriend, Sherry (Julie Delpy), is ending their relationship and moving out of his house when a letter in a pink envelope arrives. After she walks out, Don reads the letter; it purports to be from an unnamed former girlfriend, informing him that he has a son who is nearly nineteen years old, and who may be looking for him. Initially, Don does not intend to do anything about it, but his busybody neighbor Winston (Jeffrey Wright), who is a mystery novel enthusiast, urges Don to investigate. Winston researches the current locations of the five women most likely to have written the letter and gives Don the information along with maps and flight reservations, and persuades him to visit them.
