The Call of the Cumberlands is a 1916 American silent drama film directed by Frank Lloyd and written by Julia Crawford Ivers based upon the novel of the same name by Charles Neville Buck. The film stars Dustin Farnum, Winifred Kingston, Herbert Standing, Page Peters, Howard Davies, and Richard L'Estrange. The film was released on January 23, 1916, by Paramount Pictures.

Synopsis

The story is about a family feud in the mountains of Kentucky.

Russian prince (Antonio Moreno), upon returning from the front, sees his wife (Billie Dove) in the company of a blackguard count. Prince becomes jealous, and, later, while attempting to break into the count's home, both he and the count are knocked unconscious by the mob. Prince, wife and count escape from Russia and eventually get to Paris, where wife is able to convince prince that it was her maid who went to the count's home.
