The Christmas Consultant (released in Germany as Christmas Planner) is a 2012 American holiday film starring David Hasselhoff. The movie aired on the Lifetime Channel on November 10, 2012 and was released to DVD in Germany and the United States in October 2013.
Synopsis
The movie follows the Fletcher family, specifically perfume executive Maya (Caroline Rhea) and her equally busy husband Jack (Barclay Hope). Both of them are busy dealing with the stress of their demanding jobs as well as with the effect that a recent move for Maya's career has had on their children. In order to impress both her boss and a potential new client, Maya agrees to host a Christmas party at her new home. This puts extra stress on her especially since both her and Jack's relatives have made plans to spend the holidays at their new house.Actors

A troubled and irresponsible man, Nick Wrigley (Bryan Cranston) was hacked by some group of criminals who are looking for a bank account code to Nick's boss. The criminals manage to find his apartment and start beating him. They tell him they want their money by Christmas. They leave and Nick decides to run away. Scott Calvin is a divorced 38-year-old advertising executive, who is also a father to his son Charlie. Charlie's mother, Laura, is now married to psychiatrist Neil Miller. After Scott reads "A Visit from St. Nicholas" to Charlie on Christmas Eve, he and Charlie are awakened that night by sounds on the roof. After confronting a man on the roof, who inadvertently falls off when Scott startles him, then vanishes leaving his Santa Claus outfit behind, they discover eight reindeer on the roof and Charlie convinces Scott to put on the suit and finish Santa's work for him. As the morning comes, the reindeer return to the North Pole to Santa's Workshop, where the head elf Bernard explains that, due to a clausical contract written on a card Scott found on Santa, in putting on the suit and entering the sleigh he has accepted the "Santa Clause" and has agreed to the responsibilities of that position. He tells a skeptical Scott that he has eleven months to get his affairs in order before reporting to the workshop at Thanksgiving permanently.

Focusing on the Madagacar penguins and taking place before the events of the first Madagascar, the youngest penguin on the team, Private, slips out of the zoo on Christmas Eve to find a present for a lonely polar bear named Ted. While roaming the streets of Manhattan, he is captured by Nana (the mean old lady from the first film) who mistakes him for a chew toy for her vicious dog, Mr Chew. The other three penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, and Rico, rescue Private from Nana's apartment before it is too late. They escalate into chaos against Mr. Chew, all-the-while, not noticed by Nana, who is occupied watching a football game. When they are done, they detonate the door, which is a running gag in the film, finally attracting Nana's attention and leaving Mr. Chew to take the fall for what the penguins have done to her place.
