Synopsis
Charlotte Hart, une journaliste en congé forcé, retourne vivre à Laurel Springs, la ville de son enfance, afin de prendre soin de la famille de son frère, parti combattre en Afghanistan. Tandis que sa belle-sœur, infirmière, enchaîne les gardes à l'hôpital, elle s'occupe de ses deux neveux adolescents, Morgan et Christopher, tout en gérant le journal local. Deux hommes d'affaires travaillant pour une entreprise d'investissement immobilier, se présentent à elle. Leur patron, Daniel Huntslar, souhaite racheter les commerces de la rue principale pour moderniser le cœur de ville. Charlotte voit tout cela d'un mauvais œil, d'autant que les fêtes de Noël approchent. Elle décide de rendre visite à Daniel pour lui donner son point de vue. Peu après, tous les deux sont victimes d'un accident de la route qui les laisse dans le coma.Actors

In 1843, Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter and miserly old moneylender at a London counting house holds everything that embodies the joys and spirit of Christmas in contempt. He refuses to visit his cheerful nephew, Fred, at his Christmas dinner party with his family, and he forces his underpaid employee Bob Cratchit to beg to take the day off for his own family. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, who had died seven years prior and is now forced to spend his afterlife carrying heavy chains forged from his own greedy ways. Marley warns Scrooge that he will suffer an even worse fate if he does not repent. He then tells Scrooge he will be visited by three more spirits that will help guide him.

Jack Campbell is a single, wealthy Wall Street executive living the high life in New York City. He is in the midst of putting together a multi-billion dollar merger and has ordered an emergency meeting on Christmas Day to ensure its success. The concept of family life clearly has little or no meaning for him. In his office, on Christmas Eve, he is surprised to hear that his former girlfriend, Kate, tried to call him after many years. After reminiscing a bit, he walks into a convenience store where a lottery contestant, Cash, barges in saying that he has a winning ticket worth $238. The store clerk believes that Cash is lying and refuses to give him his winnings. Cash pulls out a gun and is about to shoot the clerk before Jack offers to buy the ticket from him for $200, thus averting disaster. Jack and Cash settle their business deal outside. Jack offers to help Cash. In return, Cash questions Jack, asking him if he is missing anything in his life. Jack assures him he has everything he needs. The two part company, but not before Cash cryptically tells Jack that actions have consequence and that Jack has brought whatever is coming on himself. Jack returns to his penthouse and sleeps away the night alone.
