Synopsis
Areum est embauchée pour travailler dans la maison d'édition de Bongwan. Son patron est soupçonné par sa femme d'être infidèle et d'avoir des liaisons. Il ne cesse de penser à la femme que remplace Areum, sa maîtresse qui a démissionné. Elle lui a pourtant envoyé une dernière lettre d'amour que découvre la femme de Bongwan. Furieuse, cette dernière se rend un jour dans la maison d'édition pour la rencontre de son ami et s'en prend à Areum, persuadée qu'elle est la maîtresse de son mari.Actors

Japanese language teacher Mori arrives in Seoul to track down Kwon, a South Korean woman he fell for several years ago. Yeong-soo et Min-jeong, la quarantaine, sans occupation notable, vivent en couple, chez lui. Leur relation dépérit depuis qu'ils ont décidé d'arrêter de boire. Elle boit sans lui dans certain débit de boisson. Après une scène, elle décide d'arrêter de se fréquenter, et retourner habiter chez elle. Il souffre de cette séparation, en témoigne une douleur à la jambe, qui exige un grand pansement, des béquilles, et entraîne une sorte de dépression. Pendant qu'il la cherche, croit la retrouver, rêve d'une reprise, elle est le plus souvent dans un bar à lire un roman et à boire un peu. Un homme disponible s'intéresse à elle, engage la discussion, et commence une relation tendue. Elle prétend qu'elle est sa jumelle, et ne peut avoir aucun souvenir. Ils se revoient, puis se séparent. Un autre homme, cinéaste, disponible... Enfin, Yeong-soo finit par la rencontrer, et accepte son jeu ou son amnésie. Et ils recommencent pour la première fois. Des individus, isolés, esseulés, absents, vivent mal leur manque de relation, se croisent, sans souvenir avoué, sans espoir d'avenir, dans le présent, à tâtons, «ivres d'amours et de virtualités» (Mathieu Macheret) .

Soo-jung (Lee Eun-ju) is a scriptwriter for a local cable TV station. She is close with the program producer Young-soo (Moon Sung-keun). In attempts to urge his rich friend Jae-hoon to finance an independent film he is currently directing, Young-soo visits Jae-hoon's (Jeong Bo-seok) gallery with Soo-jung tagging along. Jae-hoon finds himself attracted to Soo-jung and asks her to become his lover. Soo-jung somewhat reluctantly accepts the offer on condition that it will only be when they go out for a drink. Their tug-of-war reveals that Soo-jung is still a virgin and this impresses Jae-hoon as well as escalates his frustration. Meanwhile Young-soo also expresses his feelings for Soo-jung. Soo-jung will have to decide whether to surrender her virginty as Jae-hoon anxiously awaits her at a hotel room.

Sunhi (Jung Yu-mi) is a recent film school graduate who returns to her alma mater to solicit a recommendation letter from her former professor, Choi Donghyun (Kim Sang-joong), because she wishes to apply for a post-graduate course in America. At first Donghyun tries to dissuade her, stressing the value of practical experience over theory, but he finally agrees, with one caveat: He can only write an "honest" letter, and if it doesn't satisfy her, she is free not to use it. In the letter, Donghyun states that Sunhi is artistically inclined and a good person, but he also implies that she's introverted, weak and never shows her real mettle.
