The Dinner (Italian: I nostri ragazzi) is a 2014 Italian drama film directed by Ivano De Matteo. It is loosely based on the novel with the same name by Herman Koch. It was screened in the Venice Days section at the 71st Venice International Film Festival, in which it won the Europa Cinemas Label as Best European Film.

Synopsis

Massimo et Paolo sont deux frères assez différents. Le premier est avocat renommé, l'autre pédiatre dans un hôpital. Leurs femmes respectives sont elles aussi assez différentes, et souvent hostiles l'une avec l'autre.

Mirka is searching for his mother in an unidentified Balkan nation, he is befriended by Strix (Depardieu) who promises to help.
