The Fuzzy Pink Nightgown is a 1957 American comedy film made by Russ-Field Productions and released by United Artists. It was directed by Norman Taurog from a screenplay by Richard Alan Simmons, based on a novel of the same name by Sylvia Tate.

The film stars Jane Russell, Keenan Wynn and Ralph Meeker.

Synopsis

Movie star Laurel Stevens (Russell) has made a new film. It's called The Kidnapped Bride and gives a brainstorm to a couple of small-time crooks, Mike (Meeker) and Dandy (Wynn), to kidnap Laurel.

In Philadelphia, Abigail Trent Budell (Ethel Barrymore), a wealthy resident of Philadelphia and patron of the arts, supports her soprano granddaughter Prudence Budell (Kathryn Grayson) just returning from Europe after five years of training. After Prudence accidentally sees an American-Italian truck driver Johnny Donnetti (Mario Lanza) singing opera, she is instrumental in bringing Johnny to public attention by insisting that he replace the opera troupe's defecting star tenor.
