The Girl from Rio (1969) is a Spy-fi film written and produced by Harry Alan Towers, directed by Jesús Franco and starring Shirley Eaton, Richard Wyler and George Sanders. In the film, a tribe of Amazonian women led by their queen attack wealthy men, as part of a long-term plan to take over the world. A co-production between West Germany, Spain and the United States, it is also known as The Seven Secrets of Sumuru, City Without Men, Sumuru Queen of Femina, Rio 70, and Future Women. The film is a sequel to 1967's The Million Eyes of Sumuru. It is based on Sax Rohmer's Sumuru character.
Synopsis
Secret agent Jeff Sutton arrives in Rio with $10 million, and finds himself embroiled in a war between Sir Masius, a British mobster, and the megalomaniacal Sumuru. From her secret city, "Femina", Sumuru assembles an army of women with which she will conquer the world. Masius, hoping to find Femina and steal Sumuru's riches, tries to use Sutton as his pawn. Ultimately, Sutton leads a squadron of helicopters on an attack on Femina. Knowing she's beaten, she chooses to destroy Femina rather than let Masius have its wealth. Sutton barely makes it out of Femina before it self-destructs, presumably killing both Sumuru and Masius. Nevertheless, the film concludes with Sumuru aboard a ship leaving Rio, joined by a group of women who are apparently her followers.Actors

Prof. Walter Forrester (Ángel Menéndez) is a British scientist working in the Akasava jungle in South America. His assistant finds a mysterious stone but it is stolen and Forrester vanishes, leaving him as the sole suspect. Suite à un larcin, deux amies inséparables, Cécile et Brigitte, sont condamnées à un an de prison. Artistes de cabaret, elles se livrent dans le civil à des numéros de danse et de strip-tease sous le nom de "Duo Lesbos". Mais les deux filles sont rapidement transférées par la police dans une prison américaine où un faux policier, qui n'est autre que le sénateur Connolly, leur demande de s'exhiber pour son compte, puis leur propose une remise en peine en échange d'une mission. Ce réseau est dirigé par une certaine Madame Forbes qui hypnotise ses proies grâce à un opale qu'elle porte au doigt pour ensuite les vendre à de richissimes clients... Lorsque Cécile tombe dans les griffes des kidnappeurs, Brigitte n'a pas d'autre choix que de la sauver.

In his remote jungle hideout, the evil Fu Manchu has discovered a deadly poison in a "lost city" in the Amazonian jungle that affects only men. Women can become carriers of the "kiss of death" by being bitten by venomous snakes. The poison causes blindness and ultimately followed six weeks later by death. Using mind control, he aims the women at Nayland Smith and other key people with political influence. This prevents them from interfering with his own ambitions to prepare millions of "doses" and spread them around the world's major cities and capitals in a plan to gain world domination.

Mike Merrick (Audie Murphy) is an American agent who is sent to meet with Professor Schlieben (George Sanders) a German scientist.
