La Grande Évasion 2 (sous-titré : L'histoire enfin révélée) (The Great Escape II: The Untold Story) est un téléfilm américain de Paul Wendkos et Jud Taylor, diffusé pour la première fois en 1988. Il s'agit de la suite de La Grande Évasion.

Synopsis

Le major Dodge,évadé du Stalag III,obtient l'appui de son cousin Winston Churchill pour retourner en Allemagne trouver les auteurs de ce crime. Deux hommes sont volontaires pour l'accompagner : Corey, dont l'amie française a été capturée par la Gestapo,et un Américain,le capitaine Matthews.....Un patient jeu de pistes commence !!!

Sgt. Tom Sloan sees his Lieutenant Joel Brady kill one of their own Marines, Johnny Campbell on Guadalcanal after Brady led a disastrous suicidal attack against Japanese entrenched in caves. As the only survivors of the debacle, Sloan doesn't turn Brady in as he assumes no one will believe his word against an officer's. The crew of an American submarine are on a reconnaissance mission photographing Japanese installations through a periscope camera. When attacked by the Japanese (with similarities to the USS Perch) the submarine is scuttled and the crew is captured. Tortured by the Japanese, with the help of British and Australian prisoners the crew makes an escape bid to get their information to the Allies. The film ends with footage of the Battle of the Coral Sea that according to the film was made possible through the information brought back by the submariners.
