Synopsis
Brad Ellison est un bandit qui passe son temps à déclencher des bagarres rien que pour la gloire. Alors qu'il vient tout juste de tuer un homme lors d'un duel, Ellison rencontre le millionnaire John Forbes. Ce vieil homme paralysé lui propose une mission : Retrouver son frère disparu depuis une vingtaine d'années mais qui, cependant, lui aurait écrit une lettre il y a cinq ans. Il prétendrait vivre à San Vincente, au Mexique. Forbes propose à Ellison une prime de 25 000 $ pour retrouver son frère mort ou vif, autrement un ancien partenaire malhonnête touchera la fortune qu'ils avaient découvert ensemble sous la forme d'un filon d'or...Actors

The Cattlemen's Association has called in the Mesquiteers to find cattle rustlers. They get Tex Riley to pose as Stony so Stony can arrive posing as a wanted outlaw. This gets Stony into the gang of rustlers and he alerts Tucson and Lullaby as to the next raid. But Hartley is on hand and unknown to anyone is the rustler's boss and he joins the posse with a plan that will do away with the Mesquiteers.

While singing on a radio program sponsored by Alta Vista Oil Company, Gene Autry (Gene Autry) meets a beautiful woman, Anita Loredo (Luana Walters), when her sweater gets caught on his outfit. Forced to stand with him at the microphone while he sings, Anita smiles sweetly at the singing cowboy whose romantic words are directed at her. After the show, Gene learns that Anita helps run an orphanage in Mexico with her uncle, Padre Dominic (William Farnum). She is upset that the orphanage has yet to see any return on their investment in the oil company—money badly needed to help the children. After confronting the head of the oil company, Carruthers (William Royle), Gene realizes that his employers are crooked oil promoters trying to peddle the land on which the poor Mexican orphanage is located.

Au début des années 1880, un escroc fait valider un faux document, censé dater de l'occupation espagnole, qui lui donne des droits sur plus de 5 millions d'hectares. Following a disastrous flood of the Green River, the ranchers of the valley are forced to abandon their land and migrate to neighboring Rand County.
