The Pharaohs' Woman (Italian: La donna dei faraoni) is a 1960 historical drama film directed by Victor Tourjansky and starring John Drew Barrymore. The film is set in ancient Egypt in the 31st century BC, shortly after the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt, and pertains to a love story set against the back-drop of a power struggle between a prince of the former ruling dynasty of Lower Egypt and the new overlords from Upper Egypt.
Synopsis
Ramsès, pharaon de la haute Égypte est en froid avec son cousin Sabakou, pharaon de la basse Égypte. Amosis l’astrologue les accompagne en croisière de réconciliation sur le Nil. Ce dernier sauve des crocodiles Aakis, dont le sex-appeal enflamme les 3 hommes qui la jouent aux dés. Ramsès gagne, mais la jeune fille a disparu. Elle est cachée dans la cale par Farka, serviteur de Ramsès et ami d'Amosis. Elle est ensuite confiée par Amosis à la prêtresse du temple de Bubastis, mais est dénoncée par Mareth la maîtresse jalouse de Sabakou…Actors

Glaucus, a centurion returning to his home in Pompeii after a spell in Palestine, arrives on the edge of town just in time to see Ione, the beautiful daughter of the city's Consul, lose control of her chariot. Glaucus saves Ione's life and then heads into town to see his father. Entranced by Eugenie's beauty, Bonaparte arranges for his romantic rival to be assigned to a diplomatic post in Egypt, joining his father, Count Mathieu de Lesseps (Henry Stephenson), the Consul-General. De Lesseps impulsively asks Eugenie to marry him immediately, but she turns him down.
