Synopsis
Leo, a newly divorced man, falls in love with a woman on her wedding day and goes through struggles to win her heart. Leo's own failed marriage was depicted in a blog ("Why You Suck") and then published bestseller written by his ex-wife. A failed writer himself, Leo is an underachiever who now washes dishes. Leo's pursuit of the newly married Collette requires he finally face the scorn of total strangers who know him only from his wife's book.Actors

In 1905, Daniel Hackett (Nick Stahl), a young farmer from the western town of Paradise Valley, is unhappy with his life as a farmer and dreams of life in New York City. His father, Jonas (Stephen Lang), likes to tell Daniel tall tales about Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan and John Henry to which Daniel has heard many times leading him to doubt their existence. Meanwhile, Paradise Valley is being coveted by a greedy developer, J.P. Stiles (Scott Glenn). Stiles attempts to convince area farmers to sell their land to him, most notably Jonas as his farm lies in the center of where he wants to develop. However, when Jonas refuses to hand up his deed, Stiles hunts him down and shoots him, but not before Jonas hands the deed off to Daniel for safe keeping.

As adults, Benjamin "Benny" Pearl (Aidan Quinn) and his mentally ill sister Juniper "Joon" Pearl (Mary Stuart Masterson), live together following the accidental death of their parents. Benny's friend Mike (Joe Grifasi) has his cinemaphile cousin Sam (Johnny Depp) staying with him. Joon joins Benny and Mike's poker game, and loses a bet that commits Sam to live with the Pearls. The film opens with John Steed (Ralph Fiennes), agent of The Ministry, in a training course which he finishes successfully. Next, we see Dr. Emma Peel (Uma Thurman) at home where she receives a phone call telling her to go to a gentlemen's club - no women allowed - where she meets Steed for the first time. The two head off to the Ministry to meet Mother (Jim Broadbent), who informs them the Prospero project - an attempt to influence the weather - was sabotaged apparently by Emma Peel. The wife and mistress (Adjani and Stone) of a cruel school master (Palminteri) collaborate in a carefully planned and executed attempt to murder him. The movie opens up with a scene from a party. The main character, Jonah (Ryan Kwanten), is introduced as a young party-boy without a care in the world. The power goes out for a short period of time because Jonah has not paid his electric bills, but gets it back thanks to his neighbour. Afterwards, Jonah meets up with Becky (Kathryn Beck) and they retreat up to Jonah's room away from the party, only for Becky to find a lump in Jonah's testicle. Jonah goes to see a doctor, who reveals that Jonah has testicular cancer. He tells Jonah that they can remove it in time, but Jonah's upset that he won't be able to father children. The doctor suggests that Jonah uses a sperm bank in the event that he would like to have kids after the operation.
