Synopsis
Malga is a quiet village in the South of Tunisia that beats to the rhythm of the national holidays for which the Cultural Committee proposes the same program year after year. However, a phone call from the capital warns them that this year a German TV crew is going to visit the area. The Cultural Committee decides it has to offer a positive image of the village, and the country, and dives head-first into a tremendous work of set dressing to conceal the truth.Comments

L'histoire se passe à l'intérieur des murs de la médina de Tunis. Une jeune fille nommée Ramla est ramenée par ses parents de l'extérieur de la ville pour épouser son cousin Bab auquel elle est promise depuis son plus jeune âge. En attendant son mariage et la sortie de Bab de prison, elle est emprisonnée par sa future belle-mère Rabha dans l'une des chambres de la oukala, un lieu d'habitation où se croisent des résidents de tous types. Ne pouvant pas supporter son incarcération dans cet espace clos et malsain, elle fuit avec l'aide de son deuxième cousin Fraj, un prédicateur simple d'esprit. Elle est alors confrontée à l'expérience de l'évasion dans un milieu hostile aux femmes.

Satin Records, which twenty years prior had rejected rock and roll band Eddie and the Cruisers last album A Season in Hell, launches an "Eddie Lives!" campaign to make more money from his image in a publicity stunt, despite them not believing he is alive. The record label re-releases the band's first album, which becomes an even bigger hit than it had on its first release. As seen in the first film, the "lost recordings" from Season in Hell are released and become yet another hit album. In fact, Eddie Wilson is living, and he had simply slipped away following the car crash in which he was believed killed. By that stage in his life, he simply wanted to leave music behind him. The newly generated constant spotlight surrounding his supposed death angers the reclusive rocker, by now living in Canada as a construction worker under the name Joe West.

Meteorological student Pavel "Pasha" Danilov (Grigoriy Dobrygin) is spending the summer as an intern at an isolated, Soviet-era weather station on a remote Arctic island with only the older, experienced geophysicist Sergei Gulybin (Sergei Puskepalis) for company. Their sole job is to collect the weather and tide statistics every four hours on antiquated equipment, which they do in shifts, and report the readings by radio to the state meteorology center. In 1560, Erzsébet Báthory is born to Hungarian general George Báthory of Ecsed. From an early age, Erzsébet's parents raise her to accept hardness and cruelty.
