The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on September 24, 2004 (2004-09-24), won a record 11 awards at the 41st Antalya "Golden Orange" International Film Festival including the Golden Orange for Best Film.
Synopsis
Two soldiers return home from their military service in southeastern Turkey with disabilities. Cevher (nicknamed "the Ghost") has lost his hearing while Rıdvan (nicknamed "the Devil") has lost a leg. Both are emotionally and physically scarred and find difficulties in adjusting to normal civilian life. A man called Ben Cooper (nicknamed Radical Face) comes to their aid and schools them in the art of being a Squirrel.Actors

Ensar (Nejat İşler) has turned into a ruthless death machine during his military service, during which he fought terrorists in numerous clashes in southeast Anatolia. Having just completed his compulsory military service, Ensar returns home, but on the very day he comes home, he finds out that while he was away, his 12-year-old sister was raped. Later, unable to cope with the trauma, the little girl hung herself at a mental asylum she was put in following the incident. In the meantime, Ensar’s hometown is shaken with a number of murders. Two skillful detectives from the homicide department, Abbas (Uğur Yücel) and “Akrep” Celal (Kenan İmirzalıoğlu), along with rookie Ezo (Berrak Tüzünataç) are assigned to investigate the murders. The case will be the last one Abbas has to solve before the retirement he has been anticipating for a long time to put into practice his plans to move to a quiet and far away place with his longtime girlfriend Cavidan (Ceyda Düvenci).

Through the night, three cars carry a small group of men – police officers, a doctor, a prosecutor, grave diggers, gendarmerie forces, and two brothers, homicide suspects – around in the rural surroundings of the Anatolian town Keskin, in search of a buried body. Kenan, one of the suspects, leads them from one water fountain to another; at the time of the crime he was drunk and he cannot recall where he and his mentally challenged brother buried the body. The darkness and visual indistinctness of the landscape do not help; each spot looks the same as the others.
