Synopsis
Yank Barstow est la capitaine d'un voilier en route pour le Yucatan, avec à son bord Vance Clayton, sa femme Helen et leur fille Peg comme seuls passagers. Clayton accompagne une cargaison de pianos. Quand Barstow apprend qu'ils cachent des armes de contrebande à destination des rebelles, il ne dit rien car il est tombé amoureux d'Helen pendant le voyage. Avant qu'ils atteignent la côte, l'équipage tente une mutinerie et Barstow tue l'un des hommes. Barstow est arrêté au moment de l'accostage, et est condamné à cinq ans de prison. Il s'évade et échoue sur une île habitée par des ramasseurs d'épaves et des exilés politiques. Apprenant qu'une révolution se déroule sur le continent, Barstow conduit les ramasseurs d'épave contre les rebelles et libère l'ambassade des États-Unis. Clayton est tué pendant les combats, libérant ainsi Helen.Actors

Kaiser Wilhelm II of Hohenzollern (Rupert Julian) is a vain and arrogant tyrant eager for conquest. When Belgium is invaded by the German army during World War I, Marcas, the blacksmith (Elmo Lincoln), although wounded, is able to save his daughter from the clutches of a German soldier. Soon after this, the RMS Lusitania is sunk by Captain von Neigle (Nigel De Brulier), who ultimately is driven mad with remorse. After the United States declares war, the Allied generals turn the Kaiser over to Albert I of Belgium. Incarcerated, the Kaiser faces his jailer, Marcas the blacksmith.

Lady Winifred se marie secrètement à Michael Wain, un garde-chasse. Lorsque Lord Altcar, qui voulait donner sa fille à Lord Burford pour couvrir ses dettes de jeu, apprend l'existence de ce mariage, il fait battre Wain et le congédie en le prévenant contre tout retour. Des années plus tard, Wain revient néanmoins, amer et avec l'envie de se venger. Il rachète les hypothèques qui pèsent sur le manoir des Altcar et est sur le point de les faire expulser lorsqu'il apprend que Dora, la fille de Winifred qui avait élevée dans un couvent, est fiancée à un artiste américain, John Gillespie, mais que le même Lord Burford cherche à l'épouser comme il l'avait voulu pour sa mère. Pour détruire l'amour que Dora porte à John, Burford fait attacher un nu à la place du portrait que John faisait de Dora. Le cœur brisé, Dora s'enfuit dans son couvent dans les Alpes, ce qui a pour conséquence de rapprocher Lord Altcar et Lady Winifred. Burford, qui a découvert où se cache Dora, tente de la faire enlever, mais sa famille arrive à la rescousse.

Captain Haddock (Georges Wilson) learns that an old shipmate, Paparanic, has died and left him a ship, the Golden Fleece. During the Civil War six survivors escape from a prison camp in Richmond, Virginia by hot air balloon and find themselves on an uncharted island in the Pacific. Far from any kind of known civilization, the island is inhabited by carnivorous giant monsters, bloodthirsty pirates, and mad genius Captain Nemo (Patrick Stewart), who lives on the island for his own secretive ends. When Smith is rescued from drowning by Nemo's remaining crewman, he talks with Nemo about his role in the war and the atrocities committed by Nemo in his younger days, the rest of his group must try and survive without him, which becomes more difficult when one of them is eaten by a giant mantis. As Helen discovers a gold medallion with a strange map on it, Nemo tries to convince Smith to remain in his compound, but Smith refuses to abandon his friends to the island, convincing Nemo and Joseph to track and rescue the rest of the survivors from a giant ant... unaware that pirate Captain Bob Harvey is coming to the island, looking for a lost treasure said to be hidden on the island.
