Mohammed, which is based on the life of Indian Freedom fighter and anti-Colonial activist Mohammed Abdul Rahiman (1898 – 1945). The film focuses on the anti-Colonial movements in present day Kerala during British raj. The film has Narain as Mohammed Abdul Rahiman and Raima Sen as Rahiman's wife Kunhi Beevathu. The cast also includes Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Siddique, Kalabhavan Mani, Sai Kumar, Devan, Valsala Menon, and Sajitha Madathil.
Synopsis
The film is about the eventful history of Malabar during India's independence struggle. The film primarily focusses on the life of Mohammed Abdul Rahiman, a freedom fighter and Congress leader, known for leading the Khilafat Movement. It covers the period in Malabar history starting with the arrival of Abdul Rahiman in Kerala at the age of 23, after discontinuing his education in Aligarh, up to his demise in 1945. The story travels through Rahiman Sahib's desperate failure in the election of 1934, the thrilling win that reclaims his position in the election of 1937, and the departure of his soul mate, whose wardrobe he carries with him as an un-detachable remembrance.Actors

Paradesi tells the story of Valiyakaththu Moosa, an Indian Muslim who moves from the Malabar region of Kerala, India to Karachi, Pakistan during the British Raj in search of a job. Post-partition, he returns from Pakistan and settles down in Malappuram, Kerala. The story is woven around Razaq, a convict lunatic confined in the asylum for many years. He had killed his wife in anger, suspecting her of infidelity. An infant girl child of the couple who had become an orphan, was brought up by the joint family. Time inexorably passes and the time has arrived for the girl's marriage. But this created a major problem in the close-knit family. The family members, who at the outset set out to secure the release of Razaq from the lunatic asylum gre wiser when its possibility was seen turning into reality and then backed out. The very family which had been believing till then to have shared the bitter destiny of Razaq could not bring itself to approve of his emerging in their midst, in flesh and blood. He would be casting the shadow of death on the family's honour. The presence of a murderer-father at the marriage of his daughter would spoil the happiness of the newly married. Even the bride, Mumtaz, did not want to see her father.

The film starts in 1796, four years after the occupation of Malabar by the English East India Company and towards the end of the First Pazhassi Revolt (1793–1797). The revolt is led by Kerala Varma (Mammootty), the Raja of Pazassi Palace, of Kottayam house. The exploitation of the native Indian resources by the Company had culminated in popular revolts against its authority across the district. With the help of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja's uncle Kurumbranadu ruler Veeravarma (Thilakan), who is jealous of Pazhassi Raja for his success and influence, and Raja's old companion Pazhayamveedan Chandhu (Suman), the Company act against Pazhassi Raja. This forces Pazhassi Raja to escape to the forests of Wayanad. The tribal force led by Neeli captures Assistant Collector Thomas Hervey Baber (Harry Key) and his fiancée Dora (Linda Arsenio) in the jungle, in spite of his commander's objection. The Raja treats Thomas Baber and Dora as his guest and releases them.

A young boy named Rana, who hails from the kingdom of Kottaipattinam, leaves his family, despite his brother Sena pleading him not to do so. The boy soon meets with an accident while rowing in the river and is eventually discovered by some fishermen from the neighbouring kingdom of Kalingapuri, a rival of Kottaipattinam. Rana (Rajinikanth) grows up there and trains in weaponry, and grows up to be a fearless warrior. Due to his fighting skills and bravery, he soon wins the confidence of the king of Kalingapuri, Raja Mahendran, who promotes him as Commander-in-Chief of the Kalingapuri army. Rana's first job as Commander-in-Chief is to free the soldiers of his hometown Kottaipattinam, who are being treated as slaves, enlist them in the army and train them. He then seeks the permission of Raja Mahendran to attack Kottaipattinam, to which the latter agrees. However, during the war, Rana encounters his childhood friend, crown prince Sengodagan, the son of Rishikodagan, king of Kottaipattinam. Immediately signalling an end to the war, he, along with the soldiers disown Kalingapuri and return to Kottaipattinam, much to the disgust of Raja Mahendran and his son, crown prince Veera Mahendran, who swear revenge on Rana for tricking them and betraying Kalingapuri.
