Synopsis

Ce film retrace la vie de Guillaume 1er le Conquérant, dit aussi "le Bâtard", duc de Normandie, roi d'Angleterre, né a Falaise en 1027 et mort à Rouen en 1087. Un destin exceptionnel placé sous le signe de la bravoure mais aussi de la solitude.

The story follows a young boy, Elev, who is adopted by his uncle, Ioan, and his wife after Elev's father, a partisan during WWII, is killed by soldiers.
