Dolph wakes up early in the morning in his suburban home to find that his dog is missing. He is in denial that he has lost his job and shows up to his office to work every day and pretends to do his work. Dolph's need to live in a world of denial about all the areas in his life that are obviously not working is found throughout his life. A palm tree in his backyard transforms into a pine tree. It's raining inside Dolph's office even though none of his co-workers seem to notice it or care that they're being soaked. To put his life back together, he goes in search for his dog.

Georges est le souffre-douleur de ses camarades de classe. Un jour, il craque et les mitraille. Son meilleur et seul ami Blaise est accusé à sa place et condamné à 7 ans d'internement dans un hôpital psychiatrique. Le jour de sa sortie, en 2016, Blaise n'a plus qu'une famille : son meilleur ami Georges. Mais ce dernier ne veut plus entendre parler de son ami d'enfance, car il essaie de s'intégrer aux « Chivers », une bande dont les membres portent un blouson rouge et des bottines, boivent du lait, roulent en sport truck et jouent à un jeu incompréhensible qui mélange cricket et calcul mental. Afin d'être définitivement admis par les Chivers, Georges doit cacher son tabagisme et se faire modifier le visage, car la chirurgie esthétique, qui fait des ravages parmi les jeunes, est un rite de passage obligé.

In the South, Sampson and the local Preacherman plan to bust out their friend Randy from prison. As they rush to the prison, the two are stopped by a roadblock and have a shootout with the police. Meanwhile, Randy and another cellmate named Pappy escape from inside the prison and wait for Sampson and the Preacherman to help them get out. While waiting for them, Randy unwillingly listens to Pappy tell a story about three guys that resemble Randy and his friends. Stanislas Borowitz is a divisional commissioner from the IGPN (Inspection Générale de la Police Nationale) who uses particularly expeditious methods to counteract the "ripoux" (French term for "corrupt cops"). In The Bronx, the Lieutenant drops his two sons off at Catholic school. After they leave the car, and before he drives to work, the Lieutenant takes a few small bumps of cocaine. His first case is a double murder. He wanders away from the scene to get some coffee, and across the street, he watches a petty thief rifling through the trunks of parked cars, which the Lieutenant ignores. He approaches a group of drug dealers, who run off as he approaches. The Lieutenant follows one dealer into an apartment building and up the stairs. The dealer waits for him in the hallway, and the Lieutenant gives him a bag of drugs from a crime scene. The Lieutenant quickly smokes some crack, and then sets aside a portion of the drugs for himself. The thief promises to give him the money he makes from selling the drugs in a few days. At an apartment, the Lieutenant gets drunk and engages in a threesome with two women. Meanwhile, a nun is raped in a church by two young hoodlums.
