Yaaruda Mahesh (English: Who is Mahesh) is a 2013 Tamil adult comedy film directed by R. Madhan Kumar, starring Sundeep Kishan and Dimple Chopade. It also has Jagan, Srinath, Livingston, Uma Padmanaban, Swaminathan, Singamuthu and Nellai Siva supporting the lead. The film was shot around Chennai and Kerala. It was produced by Red Studios and Colour Frames. Its soundtrack and background score were composed by Gopi Sunder, while Raana handled the cinematography. The film released on 26 April to below average reviews. It did average business at the box office. It was also dubbed in Telugu with the name Mahesh.
Synopsis
The film opens with Shiva going to college for testing, where his pen runs out of ink. He receives a new one from the girl next to him, Sindhya. He immediately falls for her and starts following her. He attends an educational tour with Sindhya, Vasanth, and Priya (Vasanth's lover). Eventually, Sindhya falls for Shiva too. He then finds out that she got the top rank in the test and a scholarship to the US. Before she leaves, Sindhya invites Shiva to breakfast at her house while her family is out. At her house, Shiva strips her and the two end up having sex. Sindhya then leaves to the US. She comes back 3 months later, saying that she has some private information to tell him. When she gets back, she announces to Shiva that she is pregnant, thinking that no one is in the house. However, Shiva's mom and dad overhear and they scold the two for having sex.Actors

The story starts with Karthik, a young advocate (Vijay Antony) at the shopping centre Landmark. A young girl introduces herself as a software engineer and chooses the same film DVD as Karthik. A romantic film called "Kadhaluku Mariyadhai" (Respect for true love). Karthik ends up with a crush on the girl and reveals it to his friend Das. His friend Das (Jagan) who is a house agent helps Karthik settle down in a place that he calls his office. He finds out that he has to share his "office" with another young lady advocate Melina (Sushma Raj). Karthik is surprised to see that this is the same girl he had met at Landmark and introduced herself as an engineer. He accuses her of cheating him but she calls herself "a student passed in merit" and teases him of "passing in attempt". They argue with each other and end up in an agreement that whoever is able to handle a case first gets the whole office to themselves. Das sends Dina to be a handy helper to Melina and Karthik who end up fighting as to who Dina has to attend to first.Melina and Karthik put efforts to find a case and end up in embarrassing and foolish situations. An old couple seeks Karthik's justice for divorce but Melina locks him up in his room and goes to enquire the old couple's case. But Karthik gets out with Dina's help and rushes to enquire intervening Melina. They start fighting and end up in losing the case.

Thirumalai (Vijay) mechanic who lives in Pudupet and has three close friends for whom he would do anything. Bhoopathy (Vijay) is a happy-go-lucky person who is very relaxed in life, as shown when he falls asleep in a train and misses his station. He goes to Villivakkam in search of Vishwanathan (Nassar) who is his father Mani's (Manivannan) best friend. Kattabomman (Vadivelu) is Vishwanathan's assistant who torments Bhoopathy right from the day they meet. Vishwanathan's first daughter Priya (Sneha) initially hates Bhoopathy and they are at constant loggerheads at each other. When Priya's aunt (Suhasini Mani Ratnam) is going to leave they again fight and the same old revenge story takes place. Soon,however, Priya falls for Bhoopathy. When Bhoopathy comes to know about this, he is reminded of his father's words that he should not make him ask forgiveness to his friend under any circumstances. Although Bhoopathy also likes Priya he controls his emotions and keeps silent. He tries to leave but is caught by Vishwanathan and is forced to come back. Price receives a call from her friend to cone for her wedding. On the insistence of Priya's younger sister, Vishwanathan sends Bhoopathy along with them. There the groom Sriman (Sriman) makes him drunk and he reveals his feelings about Priya. They become friends soon. Then they all go to Black World and a photographer (Pandiarajan) they meet takes a photo of Bhoopathy and Priya holding hands. Bhoopathy keeps avoiding Priya as he is reminded of his promise to his father but cannot forget her. Soon the groom's family arrives and around the same time Mani arrives. Eventually, while the marriage preparations are going strong, the groom's father (Nizhalgal Ravi) finds the photo and the wedding is called off. In the railway station, Bhoopathy tries to convince the groom but in vain. After a few dilemmas by Priya's mother (Meera Krishna) and Priya's aunt,Vishwanathan arrives at the railway station to see Bhoopathy arguing with the groom's family and forces the groom to leave. He finds out the true reasons behind Bhoopathy's backing out and finally unites Bhoopathy with Priya.

The story opens in Karaikudi, where Gouravam (Santhanam) is a well-known traditional cook making a living undertaking orders for marriage functions. He is forced into taking an order for a local goon’s wedding and is not happy about it. Saravanan (Vishal) and his four friends, who come to work for him as junior cooks, offer to help him but land him in even greater trouble and they are forced to flee from Karaikudi. The story shifts to Trichy, where Saravanan and his friends have grand plans of opening a restaurant with the help of Gouravam and his money. Here, just like in Malaikottai, it is love at first sight for Saravanan when he sees Aishwarya (Aishwarya Arjun). Things go wrong and as their love deepens we are introduced to two rival gangs, Kasi and Manaa along with a ‘Madurai Anachi’ who are constantly at each other’s throat. In a conflict Manaa forces Aishwarya to marry him and in the process of saving his love Saravanan reveals his past. Saravanan is a jail return who had killed 3 people in Madurai including Anachi's only son to avenge the murder of an orphan kid whom Saravanan considers as his little sister. The rest of the story is how Saravanan protects his love and kill the dark forces.
