Synopsis

À 16-18 ans, si on a de la chance, on est au lycée. Ici on est à Ivry et on discute entre les cours, même parfois pendant les cours. Assis dans les couloirs, dehors sur un banc ou sur un parapet avec vue sur la ville, les jeunes gens dialoguent à deux ou à trois. Ils découvrent leurs histoires respectives, celles dont ils héritent, racontent leur famille, leurs passions et aussi leur solitude. À cet âge-là, chacun voit le moment où il faudra quitter sa famille, quand elle existe… ou la fuir encore plus quand elle est toute cassée. Être seul, c’est bien et c’est mal. On cherche, on en discute.

The film stars three real-life juvenile gangsters, all aged 15, giving an accurate depiction of Chinese teenage gang-life in the Singapore suburbs. The 2003 film features two more gangsters as characters as well as a fight sequence with more affluent English-educated Singapore youths. The film begins with an interview with Tompa, a friend of Kenta and Stoffe. He tells how he grew up in orphanages and juvenile prisons. He says that freedom hardly exists for him, but one thing is he sure of is that the time he spent with Kenta and Stoffe and the other mods was the most enjoyable time of his life. The interview cuts to Kenta and Stoffe running through the streets of Stockholm filmed with a fisheye lens. Later we see them walking around at the subway station T-Centralen in Stockholm. They meet friends and go around begging people for food, beer and cigarettes. The workers who are passing by get ridiculed by Kenta and Stoffe.

The film follows the pop star Justin Bieber during 10 days counting down to what is considered his biggest performance, that of August 31, 2010 in Madison Square Garden, which sold out in 22 minutes. It shows footage of the performances during this period from his My World Tour. It shows excited female fans, and several instances of the "One Less Lonely Girl" routine of inviting a girl on stage for him to serenade and give flowers to, and of surprising random girls with free tickets to his concerts. The main people around Bieber, being like family and good friends to him, are interviewed, but Bieber himself is not. Various instances of praying together before a show are shown.
