After defeating the Tiktiks in Pulupandan, Makoy returns to Manila, along with Sonia, Nestor, and other survivors of the fight. Seven friends: Xuelian, Zeng Liang, Huazi, Hao Jian, Ningmeng, Xiaotian, and Dudu, are on their way to attend a friends' marriage when they see the aftermath of a car accident on the highway. Instead of helping the victim, they move about their business until their car breaks down, forcing them to take shelter at a road stop. Throughout the film, Xuelian gives monologues about her friends: how unsympathetic they are to the victim, how they only view love through sex, and how they only reveal their inner feelings when they are in conflict. Seeing that nobody is at the stop, the seven decide to camp out for the night. Dudu, who is single and loves to eat, is dared to take a selfie across the road. When the lights turn off one by one, Dudu escapes to the service store as the ghost chases her. Xiaotian is bribed by Zeng Liang to take food and drinks, in the process stealing the cashier's money as well as the savings of the car accident victim. While celebrating his findings, he is chased and killed by the ghost.

Carl Henry Jessup (Paul E. Respass) is a hillbilly that has spent his days with his half sister Rae Lynn (Theresa Holly) and best friend Billy Wayne (Chris Shumway). He's unhappy over the loss of his parents, who died in a murder-suicide, so he decides that he will plead with the demon Sam Bakoo (Allen East) to bring him back. However as Carl has also spent much of his time indulging in cannibalism, his soul is not enough to appease Sam.

A child grows up loving his father who took his life when he was a child. After the father's death the child is shown to have the ability to see and talk with souls who have not "gone into the light". The souls beg him to help with talking to their loved ones and all three are shown tortured mentally until the task is completed. It is shown that as a child is in and out of psychiatric clinics and hospitals thru adulthood. In the end he saves a lady who tried to kill herself and finally the constable and sister believe it is true. The psychiatrist still will not put her professional career on the line and still believe it is only within his mind and not the connection to the lost soul who asked his help to save the lady's life. He is always blamed for events that happen badly while he is trying to help the lost soul. He is always putting himself at risk to help the lost souls, but is never really thanked by the lost souls. During the story it is revealed to him that his nephew, the son of his sister, also sees lost souls, but has never told to anyone but him. The nephew tells him about a lost soul he sees that drowned in the pool, though unclear about how long ago the drowning occurred. The story ends with the reappearance to the sister's child, his nephew, a ghost of a boy who drowned in the pool from a family who had occupied the home prior to the sister and her family moving in. At the same time, the sister is at her brother's home sees a newspaper clipping several years ago about the death of the boy in her swimming pool.

Raghavan (Sanath), an aspiring filmmaker, goes to narrate a horror film to a producer, who, instead asks for a comedy. The producer asks for a story-less film in which the hero and the comedian should keep talking throughout the film, and audiences should not be able to figure out who the actual hero is. Sajith (Abhishek) is an electrician living a miserable life, while Vimal (Ramesh Thilak) is a graphic designer. Srinivasan "Srini" (Arulnidhi) provides companionship (in a non-sexual way) to Jillu (Jangiri Madhumita), a married woman, in return for money. Out of false bravado, the four decide to check out a dilapidated mansion in De Monte Colony. They sneak into the house and have some unexpected deadly experience. The friends manage to come out unscathed.

Based on (alleged) actual eye witness accounts, a group of five New York film students wish to make a documentary. Led by director Jason Watts (Clint Byrne), camera-man Jack (Colin Walker, sound-girl Lynda (Lauren Klemp), ‘executive producer’Cheryl (Courtney Hammond), and Jason’s girlfriend Rachael (Caitlin Gold) explore the "The ‘Banning Tunnels", long-abandoned railway tunnels under Los Angeles, full of graffiti and homeless people, to discover the truth behind a series of mysterious disappearances claimed to be due to the urban legend of a race of cannibalistic lizard people living beneath the streets. After a series of run-ins with some of the tunnel's human inhabitants, including the childlike Roy and the mysterious Chip (Jarded Cohn), the group soon finds the truth to the stories by discovering a forgotten civilization of half human, half lizards. The young film crew soon come under attack by the creatures and find that they have themselves become lost in the maze of tunnels beneath the city.

The film opens on a train conducted by Lucifer carrying condemned souls back to Heaven. As they near, the damned begin to involuntarily sing hymns and Ms. Merrywood finds a horseshoe-shaped pendant (Shovel and Bone). In Heaven, God discusses the crisis with his favorite angel, The Agent, as Ms. Merrywood is interrogated by the sadistic Translators about her presence and the pendant. In Hell, Ticket Keeper comes to Lucifer with his misgivings about the carnies' lack of discipline and Lucifer's reticence to discuss his plans, but Lucifer dismisses him on the entrance of a cloaked figure. He opens a book entitled "The Filly and the Lapdog" (patterned on Aesop's fable "The Ass and the Lapdog") and begins to read.
