Majid (Raisul Islam Asad), a haggard-looking Mullah, appears in a remote agrarian village suddenly. He cleans up an old dilapidated grave and begins to worship it by declaring it as the shrine of a famous Pir (a holy man). The people of the village have no idea who the holyman was, and though it is a deception, but gradually they starts believing in the myth. People become more interested in the grave speaded with red fabric. He marries Rahima (Munira Yusuf Memi), a hard working woman of peasant family. But whe he become more influential man in the village, he feels the need of a younger wife. He marries Jamila (Chandni), a teenage girl who is not afraid either of the grave or Majid himself. Majid become anxious about her second wife and become strict to control her.

One day the ox were stolen and he now use his daughter-in-law Moyna to spin the treadle.

As a result, she gets frustrated with her life and commit suicide along with her child. Prokash (Ferdous) and Sudhamoni (Popy) carried these two dead body for funeral. But people of the society impede them; even those two corpse do not get any government land. Now, it's time for Prokash and Sudhamoni to make a proper funeral of them.

Dipu (Arun Saha), a boy of about twelve years lives with his father (Bulbul Ahmed ). Dipu’s father is a government officer and because of his transferable job, they arrive at a picturesque town. Dipu immediately develops a liking to this new town and his new school. He makes a lot of friends but starts a feud with the school bully Tarique (Shubhashish) on the very first day. Tarique, unable to intimidate Dipu tries many tricks on him and even beats him up one day. Though Dipu does not complain this to anybody, instead he contemplates to punish Tarique himself. But one day a small adventure atop a high water tank changes his feelings towards Tarique.

Her sons grow up and married off. At that time, war broke out. Salim goes to War Camp and Kalim stays at home to look after her mother.The member of the village inform this to the Pakistani Military. They came to her house and ask Kalim to give them Salim and other freedom fighters' information. He denies and then they killed him. One night, Hafez and Kader, two freedom fighters come for shelter as they run out bullet in Buri's house. She sheltered them and when Pakistani Military come to her house, she takes the final decision to save them. She wakes up her autistic son and gives him rifle and brings him to the Military.
