Sa mère la conduit à la prison où Radomiro a séjourné pendant dix ans, purgeant une peine pour avoir assassiné un homme qui avait maltraité Mercedes. Katty découvre alors un personnage charmant, attachant, et ne résiste pas à la magie que dégage la personnalité de son père. Tous deux vont vivre quelques moments trop brefs où ils retrouveront leur complicité et rattraperont le temps perdu.

Lorsqu'il joue de l'orgue une boîte de théâtre de marionnettes mécanique se met en action et raconte l'histoire de sa famille, qui a vécu heureuse jusqu'à ce qu'un cirque l'emmène loin de sa femme et son fils.

Le film est structuré à la façon d'un jeu vidéo, le héros du film ayant plusieurs missions enchaînées à accomplir, celle-ci seront soit réussies, soit ratées. La première scène nous montre la femme mitraillette (Fernanda Urrejola) opérant un massacre dans un magasin, l'une des victimes est un homme-orchestre qui tombe sous les yeux de son fils. Che Longana, (Jorge Alis), un mafioso local cherche à supprimer son ancienne petite amie qui l'a quitté et humiliée. On ne connaît que son surnom, "la femme-mitraillette", référence à son habileté dans le maniement des armes à feu. À la suite d'un concours de circonstances, Santiago Fernández, le disc-jockey de la boite, (Matías Oviedo) où les membres du gang ont leurs habitudes se retrouve chargé du contrat d'exécution de la femme-mitraillette. Après plusieurs péripéties il la trouvera mais ne parviendra pas à la capturer, elle lui laissera cependant la vie sauve. Devant son échec les hommes de Che Longana prennent la mère de Santiago en otage. Santiago s'allie à la femme mitraillette pour supprimer Che Longana mais le plan échoue. Santiago revient alors armé jusqu'aux dents fait un massacre et libère la femme mitraillette. Alors qu'ils s'apprêtent à partir tous les deux, un jeune homme-orchestre reconnait la femme qui a tué son père, lui tire dessus et la blesse. Santiago l'empêche de répondre au tir. Elle reprend sa voiture mais empêche Santiago de monter avec elle. Le dernier plan du film voit les deux véhicules s'éloigner, et la mention : "Game Over" apparaît sur l'écran.

Jamie, a footloose and self-absorbed young American, is traveling in Chile and is keen to experience the mysteries of a local hallucinogen — the mescaline-bearing San Pedro cactus. In a moment of indiscretion, he invites another young American, the eccentric "Crystal Fairy", to join him and his three Chilean companions, brothers who — with varying degrees of enthusiasm — also seek the magical herb. To the dismay of all four men, the New Age-addled young woman — now dubbed "Crystal Hairy" — joins them on their road trip, and soon everyone's patience is stretched thin. The desired plant is acquired through a hasty theft and the heartfelt experiences that they all undergo under its psychotropic influence on a remote desert beach bring them closer together. By the end they are all more sympathetic and tolerant of their individual personality differences.

Street tough Zamir has been in love with Kim ever since he rescued her from rapists, but the only way that he can express his affection is to attack any man who shows interest in her. Kim tolerates Zamir's infatuation, but keeps him at arm's length. When Max Kalba arrives in town to take vengeance on Kim's father, Zamir attempts to rescue her once again. Kalba overpowers Zamir and kidnaps Kim's father, who is the Master at the Korean martial arts school. Kim and Zamir flee and take refuge with a mystic dwarf named Nik Nak, who explains that Kalba will kill everyone linked to the "Sect" of martial artists to which Kim and Zamir's fathers belonged. A series of flashbacks reveal a love triangle between Kim's parents and Kalba, which resulted in her mother's suicide. While Zamir trains with a drunken Sect member named Jose Soto, Kalba's minions kidnap Kim. Zamir learns to fight in the "Zeta" style and is given a pair of bladed spurs for his feet. He arrives at Kalba's headquarters and easily cuts through Kalba's minions to fight the man himself. Kalba taunts Zamir with the fact that he has murdered Zamir's mother, and gains the upper hand. On the brink of defeat, Zamir takes strength from his love of Kim and kills Kalba. Later, Zamir checks up on Kim, and she grants him a second kiss in thanks. He departs to reunite with Jose Soto, whom he has learned is his father.

Young Alejandro (Jeremías Herskovits) lives with his Jewish-Ukrainian parents Jaime (Brontis Jodorowsky) and Sara (Pamela Flores) in Tocopilla, Chile. Jaime is a communist who worships Stalin and raises his son with great severity. He plans to assassinate the right-wing president Carlos Ibáñez del Campo (Bastian Bodenhofer). To get close to Ibáñez, Jaime gets a job as groom to the president's beloved horse Bucephalus. But when Jaime has Ibáñez at gunpoint, his hands become paralysed. Jaime begins a long journey, is captured by Nazis and tortured. Rebels free Jaime and return him to his family in Tocopilla. Jaime's hands are healed when Sara tells him "You found in Ibáñez all you admired in Stalin. You are the same as they are! You have lived in the guise of a tyrant." Alejandro, Jaime, and Sara board a ship and leave Tocopilla.
