The movie starts at a family dinner where Saša (Ana Franić), a discontent Belgrade Law School student who is still living with her parents, informs them about her decision to follow her boyfriend Stefan (Branislav Tomašević) to Canada since he had already accepted a job offer to coach water polo there. The parents who thought the young couple were about to announce their intention to get married can hardly hide their shock and disappointment at the unexpected turn of events. Saša's father Miloš (Bogdan Diklić), a conservative judge, is particularly not happy with the fact that she's leaving her studies. Saša also tells them that she's moving in with Stefan right away, even before her visa application is processed. The young couple then leaves the dinner in a bit of a huff.

The teenage Jasna (Isidora Simijonović) copes with her troubled life by recording the world around her using her cell phone camera. Her father is dying from a terminal illness and her mother is ill-prepared to cope with both the inevitable death of her husband and her day-to-day life as a mother. When Jasna's crush Đole realizes her feelings and that she will do anything for him, he begins to take advantage of her sexually without actually reciprocating her feelings. In 1985 in Yugoslavia, a mysterious plague infects & kills a group of archeologists. Police & military secure the area before one of the dead workers reanimates as a zombie & attacks a detective & a fellow officer. In the present day, a military train arrives with a chemical cargo at a train station. A supposed military exercise, communications are cut off & a professor misses his train at the station due to the protocol. A group of homeless thugs also arrive & harass a police officer by intimidating him & stealing his gun. During a brief fight in which the officer attempts to retrieve his gun from the thugs, the gun goes off, injuring a guard securing the military cargo & accidentally puncturing a gas line from the cargo, releasing the toxic chemicals inside. Only the professor is unharmed, having been given a gas mask seconds before he could've gotten infected, & escapes the train station. The gas spreads throughout town infecting many people. Meanwhile an unknown prisoner is being transported under the supervision of Interpol. Agent Mortimer Reyes, an ex-CIA agent from Texas, is a soon to be retired Interpol agent, with escorting the prisoner as his last assignment. Reyes along with agent Mina Milius & a small group escort travel through a route that leads them through the city of Pančevo, where they encounter an ecological holocaust and the people infected by the biohazard, who are trying to kill them. The two main agents soon realize that their only chance for escape from the zombie hordes lies in allying with the dangerous, mysterious prisoner.

The plot is set in 2074 in Belgrade. The main character is Edit Stefanović, a female psychology student who, after failing the same university exam for the sixth time, decides to visit a dealer on the black market who installs a stolen military chip in her body that will record everything she sees to help pass the exam. Edit also has a job at a scientific and social research company, in taking care of Abel Mustafov, an autistic math genius who discovered a formula that connects all forces in the world, but no computer was able to calculate it fully without becoming self aware and shutting down immediately after that. After Edit sees the formula graph, the chip calculates the formula, able to "survive" thanks to its connection to Edit, develops a parallel personality and affords her abilities greater than she ever imagined. Alas, this is quickly overshadowed by the discovery that the chip is rapidly taking over her mind and body. She must race against time to save her humanity while simultaneously thwarting the nefarious parties desperate to retrieve the technology inside her.

The main character Saša Gordić (Vuk Kostić) is a talented shooter who went footsteps of older brother Igor Gordić (Srđan Todorović), a 1991 Junior European shooting gold medallist. However, Igor has voluntarily gone to war in former Yugoslavia, from which he returned as a drug addict. In order to repay debt of local dealers, Igor is forced to sale their property sales, which their parents left them. So Saša decides to get revenge on everyone who destroyed life of his brother.
