The film opens with Hanna and her German soldier boyfriend making love in a field in the days before the outbreak of World War II. Once the war has broken out, the Jewish Hanna and her family are rounded up, but not before her mother is killed trying to defend the family. They are then taken to a concentration camp.
Cult director Jesus Franco's Swiss-West German production is a women's prison tale, with Lina Romay as Maria who is jailed after killing her father, played by director Jesus Franco, who tries to rape her. Lesbian wardens, torture, nudity, sex, insanity, conspiracy and a downbeat twist ending round out the formula.
Ilsa is Kommandant of a Nazi prison camp, who conducts sadistic scientific experiments designed to demonstrate that women are more capable of enduring pain than men are, and therefore should be allowed to fight in German armed forces (it is late in the war and the Nazi military is in dire need of reinforcements). Ilsa is also portrayed as a buxom woman with a voracious sexual appetite for men. Every night, she chooses another one of her male prisoners and rapes him; however, due to her insatiable hunger, she gets disappointed when her current victim eventually ejaculates, and promptly has him castrated and put to death. Only an American prisoner, who can withhold ejaculating, manages to use her weakness to his favor. He hopes that the Allies will arrive soon, but a faction of the SS wants to eliminate all evidence and witnesses.

Après un long calvaire, les prisonnières réussiront à s'enfuir, en jouant de leurs charmes auprès d'un gardien. Mais voilà, la directrice et le médecin ne tarderont pas de partir à leur recherche.
Rachel Foster est une chanteuse de musique country qui parcourt les États-Unis seule, chantant dans les bars et les petites scènes locales. Justement, après un concert dans un bar, elle quitte précipitamment les lieux car elle est importunée par le propriétaire, Mat Tibbs, dont elle a refusé les avances. Silvia (Leonor Benedetto) refuses to cooperate with Susana (Camila Perissé) when she comes around to induce her to take drugs, an act which gets her severely beaten and her younger sister murdered. Outraged at Susana's collusion with a handful of corrupt wardens and drug barons, Silvia vows revenge, and, with the help of some inmates and a decent warden, she escapes from prison for one night to carry out a plan that is meant to eliminate the drug traffickers, Susana, and their prison minions — on both side of the bars.
Tonia (Krystyna Janda) is a cabaret singer in post-World War II Poland towards the end of the life of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. After she performs for soldiers, she is arrested without being told why, and placed in a political military prison to be interrogated. Over a course of some years, she is humiliated and tortured by prison officials into confessing to crimes she did not commit. After failing to sign a document detailing a false confession, she is taken to the prison shower block and locked into a small cage between the floors. The water is turned on and the room is slowly flooded. She is released at the last moment and told to sign the confession form again, which she continues to refuse to do. While in prison, she demands that she sees her husband. One day he visits the prison, but is told by the officials of her alleged infidelities prior to her arrest, and he tells her that he doesn't want to see her again. She unsuccessfully attempts suicide. She develops a romantic relationship with an officer, one of the interrogating prison officials, whom she tells of the absurdity of the system he believes in. She becomes pregnant by him and, like other female inmates, is forced to give up her child for adoption, before eventually being released and reunited with her child. The officer secures her release and her ability to reclaim their child and then commits suicide.
Two girls escape from an open borstal. Annetta (Chrissie Cotterill) wants to visit her baby daughter who is being raised in a convent. Carol (Amanda York) plans to be recaptured and sent to the closed borstal where her girlfriend Doreen is being held. Carol's plan works, but she is devastated to find that Doreen has a new girlfriend. Doreen and the girlfriend taunt Carol. Annetta is arrested at the convent and sent to the same closed borstal. She assumes Carol "grassed" her up and proceeds to plan her revenge. Inmate Eddie professes her love for Carol and offers protection, so Carol begins a relationship with her. Annetta's constant bullying attempts keep her in solitary confinement. When Eddie is released Carol loses her protection and Annetta plans another attack.
A group of gorgeous American models take a long trip to South America, to participate in a photo session on a location deep in the jungle, apparently somewhere around Peruvian tropical forest. While flying over a cocaine plantation, their plane is shot down by Cesar, a dangerous drug lord, and the girls are taken prisoner by his army. Cesar suspects that an undercover police officer is among the models. In fact, one of the women actually is a special agent. Cesar orders his mercenaries to drag the girls into his dungeon for interrogation. After being tortured by Angel, Cesar’s sister, and cruelly gang-raped by all soldiers, the models are imprisoned in an underground cell to await Cesar's decision whether to execute them or keep them as slaves for his soldier’s “entertainment.” With the help of an old female servant, the models manage to escape from the basement jail and get some guns. As they make their way toward freedom, they run into a high-level Mafia meeting there in Cesar’s manor. A final gunfight breaks out as the women fight to take revenge and escape alive.
