Aamani (born 16 November 1973) is an Indian actress who has predominantly appeared in Telugu and Tamil films. She first appeared in a lead role opposite Naresh in the film Jamba Lakidi Pamba, directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. The film turned out to be a blockbuster.

She starred in the film Mister Pellam directed by Bapu, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. Her performance in this film was honored with the Nandi Award for Best Actress.

Biography

She was born into a Telugu family settled in bangalore and has a brother. She is married to Tamil film producer Hazrath. She and her brother have been accused of harassing his wife. This ordeal of her brother's wife has been exposed by TV9 through a special episode aired by interviewing her brother's wife.

Raghu Ramayya (Rajendra Prasad) is a kind hearted idealistic person who spends half of his income on charity work. His wife Bharati (Aamani), two sons Chinna and Raja and daughter Revathi are quite against this attitude. His children compel him to get money for their career (bribe for job), education (donation fee for engineering seat) and settling in United States which he feels is completely wrong. He is forced to set aside his morality and take a loan from his neighbor, Kotayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Unable to bear the defeat of his ideology and moral issues, he dies naturally due to a heart attack the very day he gives money to his children. The rest of the film is about how his children and wife realise just how important he was as they prepare his funeral. At last, every one had realised that after death only love and affection will come with us so love the people and society.

Seetha (Aamani) is a possessive wife who suspects that all the women in the world are throwing themselves at her husband, Madhu (Jagapathi Babu). Things get a little interesting only after Sudha (Ranjitha) enters the picture and ends up hugging Madhu right in front of Seetha's eyes.
