Abimana Aryasatya (born October 24, 1982) is an Indonesian actor of Spanish-Chinese descent. Previously, Abimana became known in public as Robertino and began his career through his role as Nuno in the series, Lupus.

Biography

Abimana Aryasatya was born on October 24, 1982, in Jakarta. Abimana is the only child of Renato Roberto Giusto Giuseppe Rossellini and Siti Emi. He is an grandson of Ingrid Bergman, a Swedish actress who also won many awards for "Best Actress", and Roberto Rossellini, an Italian film director and screenwriter. Previously known as Robertino, he changed his name to Abimana Aryasatya because Robertino is the name of his father; father who he never see. Abimana comments these by saying:






"Robertino is my father's name, but I never see my father, and I am uncomfortable using that name. So, I always say to people around me-including to some people in the world of entertainment- that I want to change my name. That desire was finally realized after I came back to act after some vacuum".





Abimana confessed that he is happy that he can take off his past along with his father name. Abimana comments by saying:






"By changing my name, I want to become a new person and apart from the shadow of my father and my past."




Luckily, his new name give him lucks. Abimana comments again by saying:




"Abi in my religion means father, mana (where), so it can be meant 'where is father?' and then Aryasatya from Javanese-language means honor".




Abimana married an model, Inong Nindya Ayu, and have four sons: Belva Ugraha, Satine Zaneta, Bima Bijak, and Arsanadi Saka.
