Alexandra Lynn Hay (July 24, 1947 – October 11, 1993) was a character actress of the 1960s and 1970s. She was a native of Los Angeles, California, and graduated from Arroyo High School in El Monte.

Hay's first credited role was in and episode of The Monkees, "Monkee Mother" (episode 27, original airdate March 20, 1967). Her career continued with a few small roles in the 1967 movies Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and The Ambushers.

In 1968, she co-starred with James Garner and Debbie Reynolds in the romantic comedy How Sweet It Is! as Gloria, and in Otto Preminger's film Skidoo, as a young girl who discovers her car-dealer father (Jackie Gleason) is actually a onetime Mafia assassin. John Phillip Law played Stash, her hippie boyfriend. She and Law were re-teamed later, in The Love Machine (1971), based on a Jacqueline Susann novel. She also starred in the 1969 film Model Shop as the live-in girlfriend of an aimless young man played by Gary Lockwood. Her later films included 1000 Convicts and a Woman (1971), How to Seduce a Woman (1974) and The One Man Jury (1978).

Hay had television roles in episodes of Mission: Impossible, Love, American Style, Dan August, Kojak, The Streets of San Francisco, and Police Story. She appeared in a television movie, The F.B.I. Story: The FBI Versus Alvin Karpis, Public Enemy Number One. She was also featured in a February 1974 pictorial in Playboy magazine titled "Alexandra the Great".

Hay died in 1993, age 46, of arteriosclerotic heart disease. She was cremated, and her ashes were scattered off the coast of Marina del Rey, California.

De Havilland plays Laura Wynant, a wealthy former mental patient who has travelled to her country estate to recuperate. While there, she discovers that a woman has been buried alive on her property. Wynant tries to inform others of what she has found but nobody believes her, and her family begins to suspect a relapse in her mental condition. Because her hands are nearly crippled by arthritis, she is not able to dig the woman up herself. She tries to trick a local boy into assisting her by telling him she is digging for a lost bracelet but is forced to tell him the truth, resulting in a confrontation with his angry father. While going door-to-door to seek help, she encounters the buried woman's husband, who had in fact buried her after striking her on the head with a shovel and thinking her dead. Wynant is confined to home under doctor's orders and, in a fit of anger, experiences a spontaneous recovery from the arthritis in her hands. She begins to dig up the buried woman, who is still alive, but the murderous husband finds her. The authorities arrive in time and Wynant and the buried woman are rescued.

As a cartoon character dressed in prison stripes (and holding a peace-logo flower which turns into a tiny parasol and then a helicopter blade) executes a few dance steps to the music of Nilsson's Skidoo theme, the words "Otto Preminger" appear below him. Additional words "presents SKIDOO starring" can also be seen as the camera pulls back to reveal that this image is on a TV screen, while Carol Channing's voice is heard exclaiming, "No, Harry, not that. No, I don't wanna see that", with the channel suddenly switching to show a US Senate hearing conducted by Senator Hummel, portrayed by Peter Lawford, who asks a series of organized crime figures various questions to which they invariably reply, "I refuse to answer on the grounds it may tend to incriminate me." Every few seconds, the channel showing the hearing switches to another channel which is screening Preminger's black-and-white 1965 feature, In Harm's Way, or still other channels which have one spurious commercial after another. The initial ad depicts an attractive blonde declaring, "now you too can be beautiful and sexually desirable like me instead of being that fat, disgusting, foul-breathed, slimy, wallowing sow that you are," the second has another intensely smiling blonde stating that "maybe we blondes do have more fun" and the third ad depicts a drunken slob swilling beer and belching, interspersed with an image of a pig with beer foam around its snout, while an unseen announcer exclaims "feel big, drink pig.

Joanna Drayton's unannounced early return from a Hawaii holiday causes a stir when she brings to her childhood upper-class home her new fiancé, John: a widowed, black physician. Joanna's parents - newspaper publisher Matt Drayton (Spencer Tracy) and his wife, art gallery owner Christina Drayton (Katharine Hepburn) – are liberals who have instilled in her the idea of racial equality. But to her surprise, Joanna's parents are deeply upset that she is planning to marry a black man. The Draytons' black maid, Tille (Isabel Sanford), is just as horrified, suspecting that John is trying to "get above himself" by marrying a white woman. What was intended to be a sit-down steak dinner for two turns into a meet-the-in-laws dinner party, and during the pre-dinner period, John, Joanna and her parents have to work through their differences.
