Americo Zorilla Alaniz (October 25, 1919 – March 9, 2015), was a Mexican-born American actor in film and television best known for his role of the peaceful Cheyenne informer "Mr. Cousin" in sixteen episodes from 1955 to 1959 of the ABC/Desilu western television series, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, with Hugh O'Brian in the title role as deputy Marshal Wyatt Earp.

In eight episodes of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, Alaniz appeared with Rodd Redwing in the part of "Mr. Brother", who is killed the 1958 episode "One" by the Dry Gulch Gang. Several episodes of the series are spent as Marshal Earp hunts down the gang and makes sure that all four members are tried, and as it resulted, hanged. Alaniz was also cast in two other episodes of the series, as Esteban Morango in "The Schoolteacher" (1958) and as Joe Riva in "Death for a Stolen Horse" (1959).

A Mexican village is periodically raided for food and supplies by Calvera (Eli Wallach) and his bandits. As he and his men ride away from their latest visit, Calvera promises to return to loot the village again. Taking what meager goods they have, the village leaders ride to a town just inside the American border hoping to barter for weapons to defend themselves. While there, they encounter Chris Adams (Yul Brynner), a veteran Cajun gunslinger. After listening to their tale, Chris suggests that the village hire gunfighters, which would be cheaper than guns and ammunition. The village men relentlessly try to convince him to be their gunman. At first he agrees only to help them find men, but later he decides to recruit six other men to help him defend the village, despite the poor pay offered.

A stagecoach with a mixed group of passenger en route to the town of Fury makes a stop at a layover. Upon arrival the passengers are held up by Lorenzo Garcia and his gang of bandidos capture and disarm the passengers, shooting one when he stops to raise his fallen trousers when he puts his hands up. The two staff of the coaching stop are missing presumed murdered. Garcia questions former Army captain Frank Townsend, now riding shotgun on the stagecoach on the location of the Federal Government gold shipment they expected to be carried by the stagecoach. After Garcia shoots and wounds Tim O'Connor the driver to encourage information, Townsend reveals that the stagecoach was to remain at the layover until a wagon containing the gold shipment would arrive and transfer the cargo to the stage.

Taking place in 1910, during a fictional revolution in Honduras, Corbett was hired to ensure that a large sum of money came to the deposed political leader.
